Hotel information
In just fifty minutes via boat transfer from Malé Airport you could be wandering a scenic marina, stopping for a bite to eat and indulging in a little retail therapy… after all, you’re on holiday.
The picturesque Fari Marina is at the centre of Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands, and offers a world-leading year-round programme of activities and entertainment across the arts, culture and social spheres. The marina’s lively beach club is the perfect place to enjoy a tropical dinner or wander amongst the charming boutiques.
The resort itself is spectacular, with a minimalist style envisioned by Architect Kerry Hill. The architecture was inspired by the movement of the waters that surround this integrated archipelago. Service is exemplary, as expected of the Ritz-Carlton brand. Upon arrival you’ll be met by your Aris Meehaa (personal host), and welcomed to your luxurious home away from home. Traditional Maldivian cultural touches – like the music of Boduberu drums and the traditional blowing of Sangu shells – distinguish this from all other luxury island resorts.
The resort is home to Ritz-Carlton’s first Asia partnership with Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society, a remarkable educational programme for children and adults alike, designed to promote conservation and environmentally friendly activities. Away from the beautiful beach and the marina’s vibrant beach club, choose to relax your weary muscles after a long flight to the Maldives at the exquisite Ritz-Carlton Spa.
A carefully curated culinary experience includes a selection of over half a dozen restaurants and bars, with everything from Lebanese cuisine to a Teppanyaki experience on offer. Don’t miss dining at the Michelin Star collaboration with Singapore restaurant Summer Pavilion. If you’re looking for a memorable Maldives honeymoon, look no further. For those travelling on a luxury Indian Ocean family holiday, there is also the excellent Ritz Kids Club for little ones.
Activities & Entertainment
Visit the Fari Marina beach club for excellent dining and ocean views. You’ll also find an array of boutiques and cafes at the waterfront.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa is inspired by the core principles of Feng Shui, and offers a wide range of massages and therapies designed to bring balance and focus on wellness. Families will enjoy the activities and group games on offer at the Ritz Kids Club.
Sustainability Initiatives & Responsible Tourism
Built on an existing sandbank within a shallow reef in the beautiful Maldives, The Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands takes inspiration from the fragile ecosystem in the surrounding vicinity. Buildings are made from timber, sourced from sustainable forests in Europe. The resort is covered in thousands of palm trees, blending into the natural environment. And all guests are provided with reusable glass water bottles, bamboo-based personal consumables, reusable jars and steel straws. In addition, around 233,600 litres of diesel are saved each year via solar panels and sustainable gastronomy is practiced through plant-based options and a zero-waste approach. Activities are also available, focusing on tackling issues such as child-wellbeing, poverty and environmental responsibility.
