Itinerary

Meet with one of our destination representatives upon arrival and fast-track through customs. Then, enjoy a private transfer to your luxury hotel.
Explore Singapore at your leisure or choose from one of a variety of experiences or guided tours. You can take a guided tour of the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay. To immerse yourself in the nation’s culture, discover the vibrant neighbourhoods of Chinatown, Little India, and the vibrant Marina Bay.
Transfer by private vehicle from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport to your harbourfront hotel. If your arrival is in the morning, take a stroll along the harbourfront and explore The Rocks Historic District. If you’re arriving late in the evening, enjoy a good night’s sleep so you are refreshed for a full day of exploring tomorrow!
Whether this is your first time to Sydney or a return visit, there’s always something exciting and new to discover in this vibrant and cosmopolitan city. A cruise on Sydney’s magnificent harbour is always a must. You can choose from a 78ft luxury cruiser with Journey Beyond, or a lunch or dinner cruise with Captain Cook Cruises, or opt for a private luxury Venetian Motor Cruiser. Take in the spectacular sights of Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the ceaseless beauty of the sparkling cityscape.
Discover Sydney’s beaches on the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk or learn to surf at Bondi Beach to kickstart the day. In the afternoon, take a private tour of Sydney’s Royal Botanical Gardens and the Cadi Jam Ora Garden. With an expert First Nations guide leading the way, you’ll learn all about the rich and diverse culture of the Aboriginal people of Australia and the indigenous bush foods. There’s a variety of other tours if you wish to explore further afield. Venture to the Blue Mountains, the Hunter Valley wine region, or take a seaplane flight to Cottage Point in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park for lunch.
Welcome to Queenstown, New Zealand, which rightfully claims the title of “Adventure Capital of the World”. It was the home of the world’s first commercial bungy jump, opening in November 1988 at Kawarau Bridge. Now there’s numerous bridges to jump from and locations to be catapulted from. There’s also white water-rafting, jetboating, thrilling helicopter flights, and other heart-pumping adventures to keep adrenaline thrill seekers entertained!
Queenstown isn’t just for adrenaline junkies. The outstanding natural beauty that surrounds you is enough of a reason to spend a few days here. A more relaxed way of experiencing the region’s stunning landscapes is on a wine-tasting and gourmet food tour through the Gibbston Valley and Central Otago. Hikers are spoilt for choice with miles of walking trails, including the Routeburn Track and Lake Wakatipu Hike.
One of the most popular experiences in Queenstown is a Milford or Doubtful Cruise. A variety of tours are available, including return coach transfers with a lunch nature cruise at Milford Sound. You can return from Milford to Queenstown by a scenic fixed-wing aircraft or helicopter flight. Alternatively take an overnight cruise for extra peace and quiet.
On a clear day, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the Southern Alps on your one hour flight from Queenstown to Christchurch. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day exploring the sights of Christchurch. Test your punting skills on the Avon River in the afternoon sun, and then enjoy a tasty dinner in Christchurch’s exclusive dining tramcar. You can soak up all the sights as you feast!
Board the Tranz Alpine Express for one of the world’s great rail journeys, travelling coast-to-coast through the Great Divide and New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Depart Christchurch and glide across the patchwork Canterbury Plains before entering the mountains and crossing Arthurs Pass. Then, follow the winding Waimakariri River Gorge and lush green valleys of Otira to the west coast town of Greymouth. Spend an hour exploring the fascinating streets here before returning to Christchurch.
Staying at   The George
Kaikoura
Board one of the most picturesque coastal rail journeys on the Coastal Pacific Train between Christchurch and Kaikoura. Meander along the gorgeous coastline with the Pacific Ocean to one side, and Kaikoura ranges rising majestically to the other. Arrive in Kaikoura in time for a whale-watching cruise or take to the sky by helicopter for an indulgent day at Matai Peak. You can try a Heli-Gin experience at Mt Fyffe Distillery to learn about the region’s gin production.
Continue your journey along the coastline, passing by Lake Grassmere in Marlborough, where 60% of New Zealand’s salt production comes from. Glide past row upon row of grape vines in the Marlborough wine region before reaching the port of Picton. Here, your mode of transport changes to the InterIslander Ferry for your sail through the Marlborough Sounds. Cross the Cook Strait and arrive at the sweeping coast of New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington.
Wellington might seem small in size and population for a capital city, but you will find a diverse range of activities and attractions to fill your time here. Te Papa is a masterpiece of a museum, showcasing New Zealand’s diverse natural environment, Maori culture, and plenty of colonial history. Movie fans will love Weta Workshop, where creative artisans brought to life such movies as Avatar, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Trilogies. At night, the city comes alive with a vibrant jazz scene.
Staying at   QT Wellington
Today you’ll take a short flight north to Rotorua. On a clear day you may be lucky enough to see the peaks of Mt Tongariro and Mt Ruapehu, depending on the flight path. Rotorua is a geothermal wonderland with bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers, and natural hot springs. The region showcases New Zealand’s fascinating Maori culture through a variety of experiences. You can visit Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley at Te Puia, watch traditional performances, and enjoy a lavish Hangi feast at te pa tu.
Discover Rotorua’s geothermal wonderland at Waimangu Volcanic Valley. You can admire its beauty from above on a helicopter tour, and then land at the summit of Mount Tarawera. One of New Zealand’s largest historical eruptions took place here in 1886, splitting the mountain in two. Spend the afternoon exploring the majesty of the area. Raft down a seven-metre-high waterfall on the Kaituna River, mountain bike through the Whakarewarewa Forest, or relax in a therapeutic hot pool or mud bath.
Staying at   On the Point
Join a small group tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set, followed by a 45-minute guided tour of Waitomo Glow Worm caves. Hobbiton is the largest “green set” in the world and comprises 44 hobbit holes, the Mill and the Party Tree as featured in The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit Trilogies. In Waitomo, discover delicate cave formations that have been in the making for over 30 million years. Next, your tour will continue to Auckland where you will be dropped at your hotel.
There are more boats per capita in New Zealand than anywhere else in the world. Auckland takes the top spot with over 135,000 registered boats, which is why the city is affectionately known as the City of Sails. Join in with one of New Zealand’s favourite past-times with a sailing trip around Waitemata Harbour on an adrenaline pumping America’s Cup racing yacht. Alternatively, you can board a gentle cruise to Waiheke Island, where you can join a small group or private wine tasting and gourmet food tour, or a romantic dinner cruise.
Travel over the International date line and arrive in Papeete, Tahiti a day before you left Auckland! Transfer to your hotel for the night.
Wake to tropical views across to the Island of Moorea. Choose to laze by one of the pools, swim with tropical fish in the Lagoonarium, or join a 4WD Mountain Safari to the heart of the Island. We recommend dining at The Lotus Restaurant at the hotel in the evening, where you’ll find mesmerising views over the water.
A short flight from Tahiti takes you to Bora Bora. Sit on the left side of the aircraft for spectacular views of Moorea and the lagoon, as well as the Mt Otemanu of Bora Bora. Then, take a short boat transfer to the island of Motu To’opua, home to the luxurious Conrad Bora Bora Nui Resort. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy the resort amenities and the wonderful French Polynesian hospitality.
Conrad Bora Bora Nui has one of the best resort beaches of Bora Bora. Laze on a sun lounger, enjoy the complimentary water sports, or snorkel over the colourful coral reefs directly off the beach. If you’re feeling romantic, sail away to the private island of Motu Tapu for a picnic lunch.
Another day in paradise. Relax by the pool, enjoy a game of tennis, and indulge in tailored treatments at Conrad’s Hina Spa, set on the hilltop with panoramic views. There’s a variety of off-resort activities to try, too. Take a boat tour and snorkel with sharks, or sail around Bora Bora on a private catamaran charter. Over on the main island you can join a 4WD or ATV tour to explore its highlights.
After a sumptuous breakfast, enjoy another day of relaxation on your deck, by the pool or at the beach. If you want to learn more about the preservation and habitat of Bora Bora’s Manta rays, join the resident marine biologist at one of their conferences. They’re held twice a week at the Upa Upa Lounge Bar. To make your last evening one to remember, book a romantic dinner for two at the island’s viewpoint, with panoramic vistas of Bora Bora and Mount Otemanu.
Fly from Bora Bora to Papeete for your connecting overnight flight to San Francisco. On arrival, transfer to your downtown hotel, and then explore the city at your leisure. Peruse the shops along Market Street and Union Square, and visit the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Chinatown.
Enjoy a full day discovering some of the city’s highlights, including the thriving neighbourhood of Haight Ashbury, made famous for the 1960s hippie movement. Stop by The Painted Ladies for stunning views of the pastel-coloured Victorian and Edwardian houses with a backdrop of the city. Other highlights include the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and Fisherman’s Wharf. Finish off with dinner in the trendy neighbourhood of Mission District.
Complete your Round the World adventure with a direct flight back to the UK.
