About me

I began my passion in the Travel Industry 12 years ago, working onboard ferry crossings between Dover and Calais. It only snowballed as Travel Fever took fold and I ended up working back-to-back seasons overseas in Greece, Turkey and Spain. Once I returned to the UK, I took up residence on the high-street selling holidays, but then using every saved penny and spare moment to jet back off and see new places.

My travel and destination specialism

Over the years I’ve ticked off those bucket list destinations. I’ve gazed at the northern lights in Iceland, posed in front of the Eiffel Tower in France, the leaning tower of Pisa in Italy, Chichen Itza in Mexico and been shopping for chocolates in Belgium. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Florida four times and have loved cruising the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, flopped on a beach in the Virgin Islands and wandering the winding streets of Oia in Santorini. Europe, beach, Caribbean, Florida and cruising between them are my specialties, and I'm exciting to share my knowledge with you.

My most memorable travel experiences

Making memories with loved ones have always made my travel experiences special and unique. So, my standouts are getting engaged in Animal Kingdom in Florida with a cacophony of different animals bellowing behind us, and taking family onboard their first cruise, where we were able to stargaze in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. Even being able to hire a villa in sunny Cyprus and having the space filled with laughter, joy and making memories is what it’s all about.

My favourite destination: Orlando

My favourite destination is the colourful Orlando, Florida. I love a holiday with lots of choice and activities to do, and I think Orlando speaks for itself with the choice of different theme and amusement parks, including the undeniably exciting Universal Orlando Resort and Walk Disney World Resort. Aside this incredible destination, I truly love to cruise; waking up in a new destination is something very special to me.

My favourite hotel: RedLevel at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora

I love the Red Level at Gran Melia Palacio De Isora in Tenerife. I’ve been lucky enough to live and work here for nine months back in 2015. It’s located in the sleepy village of Alcala, which has a few Spanish tapas restaurants, coffee shops and markets dotted about. Plus, Los Gigantes is only a five-minute drive down the road. The hotel itself is like a palace. It boats the longest outdoor pool in Tenerife, stretching as long as three Olympic sized pools end to end, six different restaurants to choose from and incredible service. It will always be one of my favourites.

Service commitment from you:

I’m genuinely interested to know why you’re looking to go on holiday and what makes you smile. Holidays are very personal to each and every one of us, as they're a chance to escape the ordinary and vacate our lives. If you allow me to discover what makes you tick and gets that ‘belly excitement’ from a holiday with you, I’ll work wonders to help you find that perfect escape.

Your top tips for travellers:

  • Explore the destination you’re in, even if it’s just for a day. There’s wonder in others cultures and ways of life if you just take the time to explore it
  • Step out of your comfort zone. You’re vacating your life for an escape abroad, so do the unexpected on holiday - go for a midnight beach walk, learn a new skill you’d never try at home or strike up a conversation with a stranger
  • My practical tip – pack an extension lead. Sometimes a hotel only has one plug socket halfway across the room or I’ve only packed one adaptor. An extension lead has saved me on many a holiday
