Hotel information
Located atop the prestigious Nob Hill within a century-old landmark building, the hotel is steps from many of the Bay area’s most celebrated attractions, including the historic California Street Cable Car which stops directly outside. Conveniently situated in the heart of the city, this luxurious oasis suits couples and honeymooners looking to unwind in a peaceful setting with resort-like amenities.
There’s so much on your doorstep; ride the 19th-century cable car route, browse world-class artisan shops and the farmers markets of the San Francisco Ferry Building, indulge at the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s in Union Square or spend several hours admiring the artworks of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SF MoMA).
After exploring the hilly metropolis by foot or via one of the city’s iconic cable cars, unwind back at the hotel. Built in a u-shape, many of the 336 modern rooms and suites overlook the hotel’s centrepiece, a park-like courtyard with serene fountains and manicured hedges, while others have downtown or bay views. Colour palettes and furnishings are inspired by tailored fashion and the fog tumbling over the Golden Gate Bridge, while the artwork depicts San Francisco city scenes and culture including the San Francisco ballet. Luxurious touches in every room include Italian marble bathrooms and couture 400-thread-count Frette linens.
Further elevate your stay by booking a Club Level room. You’ll have access to the Club Lounge which overlooks the city skyline and offers continuous culinary offerings throughout the day (breakfast, light lunch, evening hors d' oeuvres, desserts, cocktails, and cordials), plus a dedicated Club Concierge is at your service to help plan extraordinary experiences.
If you’re visiting with children, they’ll receive a colouring book and personalised welcome letter through Ritz Kids, a programme arranging fun activities including scavenger hunts and thoughtful children’s menus. Further guest facilities include an extensive fitness centre, a Krigler boutique selling bespoke perfumes (the only location in Northern California) and three restaurants and bars.
Start the day right with a classic American breakfast at Parallel 37, enjoy San Francisco-inspired cuisine and skyline views in the Lounge and sample Californian wines at the elaborately decorated JCB Tasting Lounge.
