Experience both its sunsoaked shoreline and mountainous peaks with this captivating seven-night, twin-centre itinerary.

Begin your adventure at the high-altitude, luxury resort of Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar, where you’ll spend the first four days of your trip traversing Muscat’s impressive canyons and haggling for Damask rose water in the traditional souks of Nizwa, before relaxing under a canopy of stars on your balcony.

On day five, you’ll make your way to The Chedi Muscat – an elegant hotel ideally situated on Boushar beachfront. Enjoy the rest of your time in Oman bathing in the Arabian sea, visiting the awe-inspiring Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and bartering for the best price on gold and silver at Muttrah Souk.

Round off your trip with a riveting performance at the Royal Opera House Muscat – an elaborate venue showcasing the very best of Oman’s arts and music scene.

Get the best of both worlds with this mountain-to-beach itinerary and discover the secrets of ‘The Pearl of Arabia’.

Itinerary

Fly into Muscat, where a representative from Inspiring Travel Company will meet you upon arrival. You’ll take a private car through the scenic Oman mountains to your luxury hotel – your base for the next four nights. Offering dramatic views over the region’s deep terracotta canyons, settle into your plush room at the Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar resort.
Spend the next few days exploring the unique landscape that surrounds the resort and hike the Hajar mountain range on a climbing route that best suits your ability and preference. Take the short 30-minute drive into the ancient city of Nizwa – otherwise known as the ‘Pearl of Islam’ – and buy some of Oman’s famous smoked Damask rose water from a traditional souk.
Journey through the desert in a four-wheel drive to your next destination. Arrive at the tranquil beachside resort, The Chedi Muscat, where you’ll spend the remaining three nights of your trip. Look out over the Arabian sea from your chic accommodation, which combines Asian-style minimalism with warm neutral tones, reminiscent of Oman’s sunbaked landscape.
Steal yourself away your sunbed to visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, just a five-minute drive from your hotel. Peruse this architectural wonder built from translucent Indian sandstone and furnished with handmade Persian carpets. After dinner, catch an enlivening performance at the Royal Opera House Muscat – an ornately-decorated venue that honours Omani artistic expression.
Say goodbye to the warm sands and mountain vistas of Oman and transfer back to the airport for your departure flight home.
