Arrive at one of Cape Town's most iconic hotels, the Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, locally known as 'The Nellie'. This luxury hotel nestled between the slopes of Table Mountain and the vibrant city of Cape Town, is superbly located and offers couples and families alike ample choice of activities to explore. Enjoy a spa or play tennis like a pro, Afternoon Tea's are a timeless tradition with an enviable selection. For children up to 12 the Mount Nelson also provides an engaging activity programme as well as two pools for down time.
Fly to George, from where you transfer to the retreat of La, in Plettenberg Bay. Located to spectacular wild beaches, Tsitsikamma National Park and from where you can visit the Elephant Sanctaury, delightful Monkeyland and Birds of Eden or during winter you can experience a whale watching encounter or in the summer months look out for dolphins and visit the Robberg Seal Colony.
You will be transferred by road, taking the beautiful Garden Route to the Eastern Cape for your Big Five Safari. Enjoy three nights in your luxury family lodge, Shamwari Riverdene Lodge, from where you will be taken on two game drives per day to explore the African bush learning more about Africa's flora and fauna in the hope of finding the Big Five, lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
