Immerse yourself in the cultural heart of Italy, from the historic grandeur of Florence to the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Start your journey in Florence, where Renaissance art lines the streets. Marvel at the majestic Duomo, wander beneath the arches of the Ponte Vecchio, and lose yourself in galleries showcasing masterpieces by Michelangelo and Botticelli.

Next, head to Siena, where, if you time your trip right in July or August, you’ll be able to witness the famous Palio di Siena horse race. Then, swap city streets for cypress-lined hills as you head into the Tuscan countryside. Here, slow down and savour the good life: tour world-renowned vineyards, sample velvety reds on sun-dappled terraces, and soak up sweeping views over medieval hilltop towns. Each summer, Andrea Bocelli also performs in his hometown of Lajatico – the perfect reason to plan an Italian escape aside from the Palio.

Itinerary

After arriving at Florence Airport, you’ll be transferred to Collegio alla Querce, a historic property set just a 40-minute walk from the heart of the city. Wake up in the morning to breathtaking views of the Duomo and relax in the hotel's grounds, whether that's beside the pool or in the baroque gardens. While here, why not arrange an experience at Aquaflor, Florence’s oldest perfumery? You'll earn the art of perfume making from expert artisans, then craft your own unique scent to take home.
Castel Monastero
Today, take a private transfer to Castel Monastero, and check-in before heading to Siena for the day. Spend your time at leisure marvelling at the medieval beauty of the city that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. When the evening arrives, indulge in a dinner and drinks in one of Siena’s ‘Contrada’ restaurants.
Siena
On the day of Palio di Siena, you’ll be transferred to the race after breakfast. Watch the action from the window of a historical castle with other race enthusiasts and enjoy a drink of your choice from the open bar. Once the race has finished, enjoy a light dinner with a Tuscan buffet.
Chianti
The excitement doesn’t end when the horse race does. After a hearty breakfast at Castel Monastero, enjoy a day of exploring Chianti’s most well-known villages and regions by limo. Visit Castellina, Gaiole, Radda and Greve, exploring the cultures, dining on their cuisine, and marvelling at the stunning views and medieval architecture.
San Gimignano
Enjoy a scenic limo tour that starts at Castel Monastero, takes you through Monteriggioni and San Gimignano and ends in Florence. Soak in the medieval atmosphere of the towns under the glorious sunshine and be immersed in art, food, and wine.
Spend the day on a walking tour of Florence that highlights the medieval and renaissance history of the region. Explore the Accedemia and Uffizi galleries and take a Monolingual guided tour through the city centre to discover the museums. See Michelangelo’s iconic masterpieces including the Statue of David, and the works of Botticelli and Leonardo Da Vinci.
After your breakfast, spend the day how you wish. Stroll through Florence's narrow-cobbled streets and marvel at the timeless beauty of the architecture, indulge in the local cuisine or take to River Arno for picturesque views.
Have one last breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Florence Airport for your flight to the UK.
