I'm here to tailor-make your perfect Australasia holiday. Give me a call and I'll use my expertise to create your personalised experience.

This small-group tour is the perfect way to discover the majestic landscapes of the Kimberley region in Australia. Beginning and ending in Broome, you'll get a real understanding for the ancient, dramatic and staggering landscapes in this part of the world, accompanied by expert guides along the way.

As with all our tours, we can tailor-make any element, and our Australia Travel Specialists can design a personalised pre or post-tour extension for your adventure down under.

For those with less time, this tour can be shortened to finish at Day 9, still combining Broome's highlights with the amazing sights of Kununurra, El Questro and the Gibb River Road.

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Broome, you will be transferred to your resort. The rest of the day is yours to explore as you wish. We recommend heading to the resort’s own Sunset Bar & Grill to enjoy a famous Broome sunset.
Just some of the amazing sights you’ll see on your adventures today include the Gibb River Road, the Boab Prison Tree and the breathtaking Windjana Gorge. After exploring the beautiful Tunnel Creek in Dimalurru National Park, head to Fitzroy Crossing. Accommodation: Fitzroy River Lodge
Don’t forget your camera today as you visit the amazing Geikie Gorge – the uniquely bleached walls make for particularly striking photos. You’ll be exploring this area on a cruise, allowing you to make the most of the incredible scenery. Stop to visit Halls Creek en route to Purnululu National Park, where you’ll check-in to Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge. Accommodation: Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge
Purnululu National Park is packed with spectacular scenery, from the striped peaks of the Bungle Bungle Range to the incredible amphitheatre-like space of Cathedral Gorge. You’ll be accompanied by an expert guide as you make your way through the park; for something extra special, why not ask our team about arranging a helicopter ride over the vast peaks? This evening you’ll enjoy sunset drinks amongst the range.
Kimberley
Today you’ll leave the Bungle Bungle Range to travel through the jaw-dropping vistas of the Spring Creek Track, bound for Kununurra. This is the gateway into the famous Kimberley region. A key attraction here is the Ord River Scheme, considered one of the great feats of engineering. Accommodation: Kununurra Country Club
Today is spent exploring the region's picturesque waterways. One of today's highlights will be seeing the largest man-made lake in the Southern Hemisphere - Lake Argyle. Embark on a wildlife cruise along the Ord River, before heading out on a sunset cruise on Lake Kununurra.
Nature enthusiasts will love today's first excursion to the tranquil Parry's Lagoon, a haven for birdwatching. The next stop on today's itinerary is Wyndham, where we recommend visiting the Five Rivers Lookout for fantastic views out over Cambridge Gulf. After lunch you'll make your way to the vast wilderness park El Questro, where you'll enjoy dinner at your accommodation for tonight. Accommodation: Emma Gorge Resort
After breakfast this morning, make for the great outdoors to explore this amazing locale. A hike to Emma Gorge is rewarded with beautiful views and the chance to refresh yourself with a swim beneath a cascading waterfall. Head to Home Valley Station via a crossing of the Pentecost River, and discover the cinematic landscapes that inspired Baz Luhrmann's celebrated film 'Australia'. Watching the sun set over the Cockburn Range is an unforgettable experience. Accommodation: Home Valley Station
Take the Gibb River Road north across the Durack River, then head north on Kalumburu Road up towards Mitchell Plateau. Enjoy lunch at Drysdale River Station, before continuing on to explore more of the incredible scenery in this part of the world. You'll be staying at the Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge, perfectly situated for enjoying the best this area has to offer - you'll find Camp Creek alongside the lodge, offering the ideal spot for a refreshing dip.
Today is all about Mitchell Falls. You'll be joined by local Indigenous guides (availability permitting), so you'll get a real in-depth understanding of this area and its cultural heritage. Take in inspiring rock art at Little Mertens Falls, before making your way to Mitchell Falls, where you'll be able to take a dip in natural rock pools, or spot amazing local wildlife. Return via helicopter, admiring bird's-eye views as you go (or, if you prefer, hike back with your guide).
Amongst many other things, the Kimberley is known for its ancient rock art - some is believed to date back 60,000 years! Admire the art, and take a rejuvenating swim in the crystal-clear King Edward River. After crossing the Drysdale River you'll arrive at Drysdale River Station, your accommodation for tonight. Accommodation: Drysdale River Station
Today you'll journey through the heart of the region to find some of the most picturesque and secluded areas. Take shelter from the sun beneath the shade of the boab trees, and perhaps enjoy a post-lunch stroll or swim. Next you'll continue your journey on to Galvans Gorge and then Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge in time for dinner. You'll enjoy a two-night stay at this fantastic property, surrounded by incredible King Leopold Range views. Accommodation: Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge
Bell Gorge is characterised by towering cliffs and picturesque waterholes. This photogenic spot is perfect for swimming, as well as just relaxing in the great outdoors. Active travellers may wish to make the climb to the lower pool of the gorge, where the cascades of a waterfall make for a truly idyllic spot.
Take to the Gibb River Road once more, this time traversing Wilinggin King Leopold Ranges Conservation Park, making a stop at the Mowanjum Art & Culture Centre. This marks the closing stages of your adventure through the Kimberley, and you'll return to Broome and check-in to Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa for a relaxing stay. Toast your adventure at a farewell dinner this evening. Accommodation: Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa
Make the most of the facilities on offer at your hotel before making for the airport, either for your flight home or to continue your adventure 'down under'.
