The Gulf of Thailand, otherwise known as Gulf of Siam, holds some of Thailand’s most beautiful islands and is renowned for being a prime location for romantic getaways. You can choose from the less developed Koh Samet and Koh Chang or have the best of both worlds and combine the islands of Koh Samui with Koh Pha Ngan.

Adventurous couples can spend a romantic honeymoon dining on world-class cuisine and exploring the mountainous interior of Koh Samui, Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket. Trek through the rainforest-filled national parks, take a dip in natural waterfalls, and soak up a lively night scene.

Neighbouring island Koh Pha Ngan offers a more laid-back experience, only interrupted once a month by the famous full moon parties. The interior is covered in lush tropical jungle and the coastline is dotted with beautiful long sandy beaches. The Gulf of Thailand is a mecca for snorkelling and diving. Whilst on the island, discover the remarkable coral reefs and underwater world on a trip to the outstandingly beautiful Ang Thong National Marine Park.

Don’t forget, our Travel Specialists can tailor-make any part of your itinerary, whether you’re on a relaxed romantic honeymoon or action-packed family adventure, so please contact us if you would like your own bespoke arrangements and excursions.

Itinerary

Once you have touched down at Bangkok Airport and cleared customs you will be met by one of our destination representatives and escorted to your awaiting vehicle for your private transfer to your hotel.
Spend your day to exploring Bangkok’s temples, markets, and waterways. Discover this vibrant city on your own or allow one of our guides to show you around on a private city & temples tour, or maybe explore Chinatown on a bicycle or walking tour.
Transfer to Bangkok for your short domestic flight to the Gulf of Thailand Island of Koh Samui. Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket, Koh Samui is known for its palm-fringed beaches, mountainous rainforest, coconut groves and lively nightlife.
A full day at leisure to enjoy the amenities, pools and spa at your resort, or venture out to Chaweng Beach where you will find a string of bars, restaurants, and shops to explore. Koh Samui has plenty of cultural attractions to visit such as the Mummified Monk at Wat Khunaram and the Big Buddha Temple. The island is especially scenic too and highlights include Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks, impressive rock formations on the southern coast.
Chill out by the pool or on the beach or maybe start your day with Yoga class in the hotel grounds. If you are interested in learning more about Thailand’s national sport, you can take classes in the traditional martial art of Muay Thai (Thai Boxing). The island is surrounded by coral reefs and so the waters are a snorkellers and scuba divers haven, pick up snorkel and swim off the beach or join a snorkelling or diving tour to discover this wonderful underwater world.
Another day in paradise. Relax beachside and enjoy all the facilities of the resort. If you can tear yourself away from your sun lounger, there is plenty more to discover in and around Koh Samui. Charter a private yacht to explore Koh Samui’s beautiful coastline or try some deep-sea fishing. Head inland to the island’s tropical rainforests on an Island Safari, or just be pampered for the day at the spa.
Koh Pha-ngan
Today you will take the short hop by ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Pha Ngan. The hilly island has a lush tropical jungle interior and plenty of idyllic, long sandy beaches for you to discover. The island offers a laid-back atmosphere only disturbed during the famous full moon parties. A must for those that love Thai cuisine is a visit to the Saturday night Thong Sala Market.
Koh Pha-ngan
Most that visit Koh Pha Ngan prefer to just chill-out and soak up the sunrays and be pampered. For those looking for adventure there is still plenty on offer. Travel high up in the hills to the Chinese shrine of Kuan Yin and climb the steps for beautiful views of Chaloklum Bay. You can learn more about Thai culture at Mountain Cave Monastery or take a boat trip out to the breath-taking protected nature reserve of Ang Thong Marine National Park.
Koh Pha-ngan
A popular excursion from Koh Pha Ngan is to head over to the beautiful islands of Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuang where you can discover the colourful underwater world on a snorkelling trip. For those that prefer their own space, explore some of the nearby islands aboard a private luxury yacht charter.
Koh Pha-ngan
A final day to enjoy your tropical surroundings on Koh Pha Ngan. A wonderful way to end your Thailand Island Hopping holiday is boarding a private longtail boat and sailing off into the sunset with a hamper of hors d’oeuvres, Thai treats and chilled drinks.
Check out of your hotel today and transfer to Koh Samui by ferry, and onward to Koh Samui airport for your departure flight.
