Stop along the way to spend a day in Hwange National Park for some amazing game viewing. In Zimbabwe, discover the incredible Victoria Falls, before boarding the luxurious Zambezi Queen boat for additional game viewing along the river banks.

This trip is ideal for those looking to travel in luxury and on alternative modes of transport. It’s also perfect for photographers and travellers looking for some relaxation.

Itinerary

Board your London Heathrow flight bound for Johannesburg.
Arrival into Johannesburg this morning. Here you are met and transferred by a representative to the Castello Di Monte hotel where you will spend the night with breakfast included. Pretoria is the administrative capital of South Africa and is steeped in history. It is here that you will find the Voortrekker Monument, houses of parliament and the Union buildings.
Today you will be collected after breakfast and transferred to the Pretoria railway station to board the Rovos Rail. You will spend the next three nights in your Pullman Suite with all meals, local drinks and activities included. Departure for Zimbabwe will be at 09:30. Lunch, high tea and dinner will be served on board the train.
Today the train will travel across Zimbabwe, through Bulawayo via Rutenga and Somabhula, with an overnight stop at Mpopoma. All your meals will be served onboard the train. Keep an eye to the large windows on the train or head to the observation car to watch how the landscape changes as you head into the heart of Zimbabwe.
Staying at   Rovos Rail
Today breakfast is served at 07:00 while the train journeys on towards the Zambezi River, where you will spend the next three nights with breakfast included at the wonderful Victoria Falls Hotel.
Today you can choose to simply relax at your charming hotel or you can take a guided tour of the falls. The Victoria Falls can be seen throughout the year, and are normally at their fullest from April to July. The level of the falls is determined by the overflow of water that comes from Angola, which is dependent on the rainfall.
There are many activities available at the falls, including helicopter flights, white water rafting, sunset cruises, game drives, bungee jumping and island picnics. If adventure activities are not for you, opt for a relaxing afternoon at the pool with a stunning view over the Batoka Gorge and the Victoria Falls bridge.
Early departure this morning as you are transferred from Zimbabwe to the Botswana border, where you will be met by a representative and transferred through the Kasane immigration office and the Namibian Immigration office. You will then board the Zambezi Queen boat in time for lunch. This afternoon, enjoy a game activity before dinner.
Start your day off today with a cup of coffee whilst the sun rises over the Chobe River. Choose from a variety of activities this morning, from boat-based game viewing, fishing, birdwatching or a village tour on the Namibian side of the park. Lunch is served onboard before your late afternoon game activity.
Staying at   Zambezi Queen
This morning you will have your final game activity before being transferred through the Namibian and Botswanan immigration offices and to Kasane airport, where you will check in for your flight back to Johannesburg and onward to London Heathrow.
