Hotel information
To view Africa’s amazing vistas in ultimate style, Rovos Rail provides high-quality facilities and service to rival that of the best hotels. Journey to beautiful Cape Town, or make the unforgettable journey from Pretoria to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls.
One of the most luxurious trains in the world, any Rovos Rail journey is a truly unique experience. Coaches are decorated in classic style and evoke a bygone era – dine in the beautiful Victorian-style dining car and enjoy sumptuous formal five-course dinners. To maintain the vintage atmosphere, there is no television or radio on board, and the use of mobile phones and computers is limited to guests’ private suites.
Accommodation is, of course, luxurious; suites are spacious and tastefully decorated with wood-panelling, benefit from 24-hour room service, and come in a variety of categories and configurations. Versatile Pullman Suites feature a comfortable sofa for the daytime that converts into either a double or twin beds at night. Suites are equipped with private bathroom which features hot showers, hairdryers and shaver plug fittings.
Games, books and magazines are provided onboard, but with huge windows and the light and airy observation carriage to admire these spectacular views, you certainly won’t find yourself bored.
