Luxury Palm Springs holidays offer a fantastic getaway boasting outdoor adventures, relaxing spas, and championship golf courses. With a choice of accommodation, from intimate hotels to full-service resorts, you can experience Palm Springs your way.

With over 350 days of sunshine a year, this desert retreat is known for its number of attractions and signature events. Some of the highlights include the BNP Paribas Open, Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Modernism Week and Palm Springs International Film Festival, as well as the Living Desert Zoo & Botanical Garden, Palm Desert.

This paradise can also be enjoyed from the fantastic golf courses set in the heart of the stunning scenery, as well as from the heights of the Aerial Tramway, or on a quad bike through the desert. Venture out around 45 miles and you can discover the wonderfully unique Joshua Tree National Park.

Greater Palm Springs is made up of nine cities. The highlight is Palm Springs itself, an oasis for art, luxury shopping and fascinating museums. But there is also Cathedral City, home of the Indian Canyons and Wet’n’Wild waterpark, along with Indian Wells, the base of tennis on the west coast of America.

Essential Information for travelling to Palm Springs

The stunning weather makes Palm Springs a year-round destination for lovers of heat. We recommend visiting from January to April as the temperatures still soar but are more hospitable than the summer months, when they can reach triple digits.

Currently, many British citizens traveling on a valid, individual machine readable or e-passport, with a return or onward ticket, and who are staying for less than 90 days, qualify for the Visa Waiver Program. This means they can travel visa-free with only an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

To visit Palm Springs, you can fly from Heathrow (LHR) to Palm Springs International (PSP) in around 15 hours, including a stopover. Or you can fly direct to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) from Heathrow (LHR) in around 11 hours, and transfer to Palm Springs in 2 hours.

On top of the more famous sights in Palm Springs, there are several hidden gems waiting to be explored. You can admire an immense art collection at Palm Springs Art Museum, explore a hidden waterfall oasis at Tahquitz Canyon, or visit Palm Springs Air Museum and take a high-octane flight in a classic plane.
