Full accommodation information
Hotel information
A cosy Alpine retreat, this family-owned hidden gem is nestled in the remote French Alps village of Saint-Nicolas de Veroce. Launched by the Almae Collection of luxury hotels and residences, it has a boutique-feel with just 19 rooms housed on the site of the village bakery.
Ideal for couples and families alike, Armancette is an off-the-beaten track winter escape in a lesser-known village attached to the ski region of Evasion Mont-Blanc.
Easy access to the chairlift - 50 metres from its front door - makes it ideally placed for skiing Megeve’s 235 slopes, and it’s only 10 minutes’ drive to Saint Gervais, where there are Michelin-starred restaurants and the unique ‘snow tram’ for journeys up Mont Blanc.
Spend your days on the pistes or exploring the mountains on a planned activity, such as dog sledding, snowshoeing, helicopter rides or cycling adventures... dependent, of course, on the season. Then head back to the hotel’s luxurious and inviting lodge-style rooms, which showcase epic mountain views through their large windows. If you’re travelling in a group or seeking ski-in ski-out facilities then there is a small collection of standalone chalets available to book.
The impressive spa entices with its indoor-outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzis and fitness suite. For children there is a kids’ club during school holidays. Destination dining is served at La Table d’Armante, or more relaxed fare, live music and a children’s menu at next door Le Mont Joly. It won’t take long for you to succumb to the scent of the pastries wafting from the hotel’s indulgent bakery!
A real secret escape, Armancette offers peace and tranquillity in exceptional surroundings, with French authenticity at its heart.
Room Options
The 19 unique rooms all feature marble bathrooms; double beds (which can be adjusted into twin beds); mountain or village views; and all but one have a terrace or balcony. Exclusive hire is available with accommodation for up to 58 people, and there is a small collection of private chalets which are just metres from the beginners’ slopes and include access to the hotel’s facilities.

This laidback bistro is just next door to the hotel, with its large terrace boasting exceptional views of the Alps, including the Dômes de Miage, Mont Vorassay and the Aiguille de Bionnassay.
On the menu are classic home-style French favourites perfect for sharing, like raclette and fondue.
Mont Joly Lounge
On the first floor of the Mont Joly Bistro is a private lounge area, where drinks are served and there is often live music. A pool table, fireplace and terrace add to the ambience.
Salon De Te
This iconic setting has been reopened by the hotel, after having long been the village bakery. Now it’s not just a bakery but a tearoom too, serving fresh pastries, sandwiches, quiches, French bread and hot drinks. A perfect refreshment pit stop for skiers.

When it comes to dining, chalet residents can hire in a chef to create personalised dishes with local ingredients and French flavours.

If you’re heading to this French Alps hotel for skiing and snowboarding, you’ll find it’s in a prime position for advance levels, with Megeve and Les Contamines on your doorstep, and a short drive to the pistes of Chamonix, Verbier and Courmayer. Skiers of all levels can enjoy the slopes around Saint Nicholas de Veroc, and there is an ESF ski school in the village.
Spa
With its views of Mont Blanc the spa at Armancette is a dreamy setting for relaxation. You’ll love taking a dip in the heated indoor-outdoor swimming pool, and relaxing in the hammam, sauna and solarium. Book a treatment, simply chill in one of three Jacuzzis, or keep your wellness regime up with a visit to the fitness room where you can start the day with a ‘muscular awakening’ session.
Not far from the hotel the thermal baths of Saint Gervais are not to be missed.
