Montafon

Discover one of Austria's finest ski resorts amid the breathtaking scenery of Silvretta Montafon. 

Located in the Montafon Valley in Vorarlberg, just a two hour transfer from the closest airport at Innsbruck, the 140km of slopes spread over two Austrian valleys create one of the country's ten largest ski regions.

Linked by modern lifts and cable cars, the snow conditions are excellent, being 2,430m above sea level. Home to the longest valley descent in Vorarlberg with 1,700 metres of difference in altitude, it's known as Austria's "sportiest ski resort". 

Ideal for intermediate skiers, there are fantastic opportunities for touring and freeriding in Montafon, with plenty of runs alongside three ski schools for beginners and improvers.

The Snowpark Montafon has a varied terrain, the perfect snowy playground for those who love the thrill of kickers, rails and boxes. 

Family ski holidays are well catered for, with a good range of blue and red slopes, and lots to inspire young visitors around lessons at the ski school. Many of the child-friendly restaurants have dedicated menus for kids too. 

Experienced skiers meanwhile can revel in the 81%-gradient black pistes, and enjoy the thrice-weekly sunrise skiing to make the most of the fresh powder. 

And there are plenty of unforgettable experiences away from the skiing and snowboarding. More adventurous guests can seek out a wide range of activities including piste basher rides, glacier walks and zip lining.
