Itinerary

Depart the UK and fly to the idyllic shores of Fiji.
Arrive in Fiji and take a private transfer to InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa for your pre-cruise stay. Located on the southwest coast of Viti Levu, this beautiful beachfront property overlooks a crystal-clear lagoon. Relax in contemporary rooms here, realised in Pacific island-inspired decor and complete with chic Cleopatra baths.
Indulge in a sumptuous breakfast before enjoying everything this luxurious resort has to offer. Head to Spa InterContinental to unwind with a wide range of wellness experiences or practise your swing on the 18-hole championship golf course. Take a dip in one of the resort’s three tranquil pools and round your day off with cocktail at sunset.
Today, transfer to the port to board your majestic ship: Le Paul Gaugin. Set sail for the west coast of Viti Levu and the second largest Fijian city of Lautoka. Otherwise known as ‘Sugar City’, Lautoka sits in the heart of the country’s sugar cane-growing region. Admire its verdant peaks and fertile growing fields, as well as its charming rural villages.
Immerse yourself in the natural wonders and fascinating culture of Fiji on the remote island of Beqa. Snorkel the island’s colourful coral reef to encounter all manner of marine life, from clown fish to sea turtles. In the afternoon, follow in the footsteps of Fiji’s ancestors by observing a traditional fire-walking ceremony.
Discover Fiji’s vibrant capital city of Suva. Uncover the country’s rich heritage at the Fiji Museum, showcasing an impressive collection of artefacts dating back 3,700 years. Wander around the beautiful botanical gardens at Thurston Gardens or pay a visit to Colo-I-Suva Forest Park to hear a chorus of tropical birds in the canopy of the rainforest.
Known as ‘the hidden paradise of Fiji’, visit the stunning island of Vanua Levu. Explore this natural treasure trove of cascading waterfalls, tropical blooms, platinum-sand beaches, and gin-clear shallows. Be sure to attend an authentic Kava ceremony, in which a traditional plant-based drink is served in a half coconut shell.
Enjoy a day at sea aboard this incredible luxury vessel. Visit the ship’s Deep Nature Spa for a signature Polynesian treatment before heading to Deck 8 for a spot of sunbathing around the pool. Later in the day, indulge in afternoon tea while taking in the glorious ocean views, before returning to your cabin to dress for dinner at L’Étoile.
Step off the ship onto the screen-saver-worthy shores of the Vava’u Islands in Tonga. Made up of more than fifty heavenly islands, this archipelago is a wonderful place to swim and snorkel. Surrounded by the turquoise waters of the South Pacific, its gorgonian coral gardens and underwater caves are hot spots for marine life.
Crossing over the International Date Line adds a fun ‘time travel’ element to your trip. Make the most of your time onboard by picking up some special souvenirs at the boutique on Deck 6, before working up a sweat at the fitness centre. Conclude your day at the Solarium bar, watching the sun set over the horizon with a cocktail in-hand.
Home to the world’s most beautiful lagoon, Aitutaki in the Cook Islands is a postcard-perfect oasis. Swim alongside neon fish in crystalline waters or take a long stroll around the lagoon on immaculate ivory sand. The island also specialises in artisanal fabrication, so be sure to pick up a coloured sarong and other handicrafts here.
With another glorious day at sea, bring in the morning with fresh Lenôtre pastries and hot coffee on the open deck. Then, enjoy some quiet time – find a reading nook and get lost in a good book at the onboard library. Tonight, feast on delicious Polynesian dishes at La Véranda, before making your way to the Grand Salon for an evening of live music.
A favourite destination amongst honeymooners, Bora Bora is celebrated for its luxurious overwater bungalows, soft white sand, and alluring lagoon. Its most distinguishing feature, though, is of course the jagged peaks of Mount Otemanu – a volcanic mountain that towers above the island and is covered in lush greenery.
Taha'a Island, French Polynesia
Doze under the palm trees that are dotted along the beach on the islet of Motu Mahana. Paul Gauguin’s very own private island paradise, enjoy a special dining experience here with an authentic Polynesian barbeque. Next, step off onto the volcanic island of Taha’a, known for cultivating fragrant vanilla and French Polynesia’s famous black pearls.
Moorea, French Polynesia
A member of the Windward Island archipelago, Moorea is a natural jewel in the South Pacific Ocean. Scenic and visually striking, hike up the dramatic peaks of Mount Rotui or watch the sail boats glide in and out of Opunohu Bay. Plus, follow in the footsteps of historical naval navigator, Captain Cook, with a visit to Cook’s Bay.
Disembark in Papeete in Tahiti and transfer to InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa for your two-night, post-cruise stay. Offering awe-inspiring views of Moorea’s volcanic peaks, this oceanfront property is surrounded by 36 acres of verdant jungle. Sip on signature cocktails at the lively Tiki Bar and feast on fresh seafood at its restaurant.
Spend your day luxuriating in the resort’s infinity-edge swimming pool or head to the beach for some exhilarating watersports. Learn to scuba dive at TOPDIVE Tahiti (onsite) – the only PADI Five Star dive centre in French Polynesia. In the evening, treat your tastebuds to sophisticated French cuisine at Le Lotus with breathtaking views of Moorea.
Take a private transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
