This delightful, palazzo-style country house is bedecked in fine fabrics, tasteful furnishings and exudes a farmhouse-style luxury and comfort. Throwing the windows wide open to the breeze in the morning, you can look out across rolling hills of verdant green countryside.
At Villa Barboleta, you can immerse yourself in the charms of daily life in rural Italy. The towns and villages around you are filled with winding streets, with cypress trees and olive groves decorating the landscape.
Despite the wonderful surroundings, you would be forgiven for spending all your days lounging by your villa's pool. Down a gentle slope from the pink house is an ample outdoor terrace, surrounded by comfortable pool loungers. Here, you will be enveloped by beautiful private gardens, the perfect spot to relax.
The kitchen, living and dining spaces are comfortable and homely, whether you want to cosy up on the sofa or gaze at the stars from the veranda.
The three bedrooms are all air-conditioned and beautifully designed. The master bedroom features a king-sized four poster, with en suite (with both bath and shower), double basins and a separate studio room, whilst the other two bedrooms are either double or twin (on request), sharing a bathroom with a shower.
Only a mile’s walk from Villa Barboleta is Ponte a Moriano, a charming little village complete with cafe, railway station and tennis club. Five miles further, you discover one of the jewels in Tuscany’s crown - the city of Lucca. Its rich history could fill a holiday alone; marvel at the heritage of the Medieval tower and the Gothic cathedral, before enjoying a people-watch at a cafe in the piazza. Lucca is not the only fabulous city in hailing distance of the villa, though - Pisa, Siena and Florence are all within an easy distance for a day trip, as are the beaches at Viareggio or Forte dei Marmi.
