Moorea is renowned for its crystal clear warm waters, where in peak season, August to October, visibility averages between 18 – 30 metres. The eight most popular dives sites are located on the islands north coast, where TOP DIVE and most hotel accommodation is situated, providing easy and quick access to diving. Moorea is particularly popular for shark diving where you may spot black tip reef sharks, nurse sharks and large lemon sharks. During the months of August to October, diving with humpback whales at Tiki Point is a highlight of the diving calendar. Diving in Moorea you can expect to see great coral walls and canyons, groups of eagle rays (sometimes up to 40 at a time), pretty anemones and clown and Emperor Angel Fish.
