Overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro river valley, Loisaba Conservancy is a success story of conservation. Home to elephant, lion, wild dog and an abundance of other species, Loisaba is a prime example of successful collaboration between conservation, communities, ranching and tourism working together in perfect harmony.
Loisaba Lodo Springs is an ultra-private experience with views out over 57,000 acre. The landscape of the conservancy is lush with natural springs, forests and endless plains and is also home to the Grevy Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Black leopard, wild dog and huge herds of Elephants.
The beautifully designed camp is a blend of stylish contemporary architecture and vintage furnishing, the communal areas include an open-air dining area, lounge, deck and one of Kenya's most picturesque infinity pools.

Laikipia has the second largest population of elephant in Kenya and Loisaba is an important breeding area and migration route for the Laikipia elephants.
Loisaba is home to the elusive Black Leopard, Greater kudu are abundant on the escarpment and valleys. Local wildlife includes also Grevy’s Zebra and Beisa Oryx.
The Nature Conservancy operates many conservation initiatives from Loisaba including research programs involving Space For Giants Elephant Foundation, the San Diego Zoo Global Reticulated Giraffe Research Program and Lion Landscapes. A visit to the Conservancy Head Quarters offers a wonderful opportunity to find out about the latest research and conservation concepts.
Children can enjoy the Warrior training -Learning how to make a fire, throw a spear, make a bow & arrow and bush walks around camp.
Sustainability Initiatives & Responsible Tourism
The Loisaba Community Conservation Foundation (LCCF) is a US 501 c3 Foundation. It aims to assist the area surrounding Loisaba Conservancy by encouraging community-driven enterprise and fostering the development of philanthropic based community initiatives.
Conservation
Revenue generated from conservancy fees and bed nights at Loisaba are dedicated to conservation of the 230km2 private wilderness area, in addition to supporting community orientated health, education and enterprise programmes outside its boundaries with the neighbouring Samburu and Laikipiak Maasai tribes.
