Itinerary

Board your flight from the UK bound for Rio de Janeiro. Evening arrival and transfer to your hotel on Copacabana Beach for the next three nights.
Take a full-day open-top jeep excursion to visit the highlights of vibrant Rio and take in some of the most stunning views any city has to offer. Visit Corcovado, home of the emblematic Christ the Redeemer statue, and explore Tijuca, the largest urban forest in the world. After lunch, continue up Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car and finish your tour in the Botanical Gardens.
Make the most of this amazing city today. Our team will be happy to arrange optional excursions and activities for you, or simply recommend some of the best places to go. Perhaps take a cruise around Guanabara Bay, or spend the afternoon soaking up some more sun on Copacabana or Ipanema beach.
Travel south along the Green Coast towards Paraty, one of the most picturesque places in Brazil. Check-in to Pousada do Ouro for a two-night stay. This afternoon is free for you to explore the area – perhaps take a stroll down to the beautiful beach to admire the views.
Today you have a full day to discover this charming town. Traffic is banned in the centre, so strolling through the cobbled streets and admiring the fantastically-preserved architecture is a wonderful experience. Visit the pier and watch fishermen bringing in the daily catch; alternatively, your Travel Specialist can arrange a cruise out to an offshore island for swimming in the sea.

Transfer by road to the airport in Rio de Janeiro for your flight to Iguaçu. The Falls are some of the most spectacular in the world, and truly have to be seen to be believed. There are approximately 275 separate cascades, and visitors can walk across purpose-built walkways to appreciate the amazing sight (and sound!)

Explore the Iguaçu Fallsk today. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is full of lush, picturesque rainforest where many species of rare and endangered flora and fauna can be spotted. Follow the walking trails and keep an eye out for coatis, long-tailed creatures related to racoons.
Today you will see the Falls from a different perspective, over the border in Argentina; here the natural wonder is known as Iguazu. From a network of extensive trails above, below and behind the Falls, take in the sheer majesty from several different vantage points. The largest of the cascades – the forebodingly named Devil’s Throat – can be viewed from a platform suspended high above the water.
This morning, fly back to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer to Búzios, famous for being Brigitte Bardot’s favourite Brazilian beach resort. Your stay here will be at the beautiful Pousada Abracadabra, which offers vistas over the sparkling ocean and a relaxing infinity pool.
Spend the next two days making the most of this beautiful place. There are 23 beaches and bays dotted around Búzios, so there’s plenty of choice when it comes to soaking up the sun! Formerly a fishing village, the area is now an upmarket and stylish resort town, with a fantastic array of boutiques, bars, hotels and fine dining establishments.
Staying at   Pousada Abracadabra
Bardot’s 1964 visit here really put Búzios on the map, and you can find a statue of the actress on the seafront, eternally admiring the serene view. If you don’t fancy joining Brigitte, there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied – from scuba diving and snorkelling to golfing and hiking.
Staying at   Pousada Abracadabra
Depart Búzios for Rio de Janeiro, where you will board your flight home to the UK.
