Day 3 Santiago
Day 4 Santiago - Calama - San Pedro de Atacama
Day 5 Atacama Desert
Spend the next two days experiencing the Atacama Desert; choose from the wide range of activities that can be arranged from the lodge and take in the wonderful landscapes. One of our favourite places to soak in the stunning surroundings is Moon Valley, an amazing geological formation that’s reminiscent of a lunar landscape. We also recommend a visit the shimmering high altitude lagoons of Aguas Calientes and Tuyajto.
Day 6 Atacama Desert
Head out today on your chosen excursions. We recommend getting up early and visiting the El Tatio Geysers. Located at 4320m, this geyser field is home to over 80 gurgling geysers and hundreds of gassy fumaroles. It is an exceptional site to see as the sun rises. The picturesque town of San Pedro de Atacama is also worth exploring, the adobe village boasts tree-lined plazas and a postcard-perfect church as well as many restaurants and handicraft shops.
Day 7 Chilean Winelands
Travel by road to Calama for your flight to Santiago. Just over an hour from the airport, head to La Casona de Matetic wine lodge, set in the tranquil Valle del Rosario for a 2 night stay. The guesthouse is located in the heart of the Chilean wine region, and offers a uniquely intimate atmosphere with ten rooms and a cosy restaurant. Tonight, enjoy pre-dinner drinks and snacks by the fire in the hotel’s living room.
Day 8 Chilean Winelands
Today is a full day to explore the hotel and the lovely natural surroundings. Take a morning tour by bike or horseback and explore the native forest with its many viewpoints. This afternoon, indulge in a wine-tasting experience at the Matetic winery - discover your favourite Corralillo or EQ wine, a rich smooth Syrah or a fresh, vibrant coastal Sauvignon blanc.
Day 9 Santiago - Punta Arenas - Torres del Paine
Today you will fly south before driving through picturesque Chilean Patagonia. Your next three nights will be spent on the perimeters of the stunning Torres del Paine National Park at the Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa, which overlooks Lake Sarmiento, blending effortlessly into the terrain. Inside the rooms and suites are decorated stylishly and the hotel boasts a cosy atmosphere throughout, as well as gorgeous views out over the park.
Day 10 Torres del Paine
Spend the next two days exploring the vast wilderness of the national park. At Tierra Patagonia all your excursions are included and you can choose from a variety of different trips and adventures. Led by experienced and knowledgeable guides, trips available include scenic half-day walks, horse riding and boat trips down the Serrano river. You can also enjoy a guided tour of Estancia Cerro Guido.
Day 11 Torres del Paine
There is so much to see and do in the Torres del Paine National Park, choose from visits to nearby lakes and glaciers, easy to arduous treks and excursions in 4X4 to dramatic viewpoints. Wildlife is abundant in this area, spot anything from guanacos to the Andean condor, foxes and pumas
