With flights from the UK taking just over six hours, Halifax is a great choice for a city break destination.

This vibrant city offers summers full of festivals, maritime and immigration history, seafood as fresh as it can be, and wildlife encounters such as whale watching from May to September. Our three-night city break allows you time to discover Halifax’s historic waterfront and forts, as well as enjoying a short tour to Peggy’s Cove and a cruise on the harbour aboard a traditional tall ship.

Itinerary

Board your direct flight from the UK and in just over six hours you will be in Nova Scotia’s capital city of Halifax, in time for a late lunch and the rest of the day at leisure.
Enjoy a leisurely morning on a private tour discovering Halifax’s vibrant and historic waterfront. Enjoy a stop at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery where 121 victims of the Titanic disaster are buried and hear stories of the victims who rest in Halifax and immerse yourself in Nova Scotia’s maritime heritage at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. This afternoon join a group tour of Peggy’s Cove. This picture postcard fishing village is set on the rugged Atlantic shoreline and you will have plenty of free time to explore the locality, lighthouse and visit the quaint village shops.
Experience the unforgettable delight of cruising on Halifax Harbour in classic style and comfort on the Tall Ship Silva, a 130-foot schooner. Departing from the heart of downtown Halifax, set sail into the beautiful harbour where you will have a mariner’s view of Halifax’s biggest attractions including the harbour bridge, the Fort George, McNab’s island, point pleasant park and historic properties. Get involved and help hoist the largest sails in Halifax Harbour, a truly unique part of your experience aboard this ship.
Enjoy a last day of sightseeing or just relaxing in one of the waterfront bars or restaurants before transferring to Halifax Airport for your flight back to the UK.
