Itinerary

On arrival at Vancouver’s International airport you will be transferred to your downtown hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we recommend spending time on Vancouver’s beautiful waterfront and visiting Gastown in the evening, a charming historic area will a great choice of bars and restaurants.
Enjoy the best of Vancouver on this personalized tour, perfect for first-time visitors of this stunning city. See the highlights of the downtown core plus the unique neighborhoods of Chinatown, historic Gastown, and fashionable Yaletown. Immerse yourself in Stanley Park and “see” the stories of Stanley Park’s Totem Poles. Pass by English Bay and visit Granville Island Market.
Staying at   Loden Hotel
This morning you will collect your rental car and make your way out of Vancouver through the Fraser Valley. The landscape changes from coastal cedars and tall firs to high mountain passes and canyons as you drive through Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park. Descend to Okanagan’s Valley where fruit stalls line the roadside and where some of North America’s premium wines are produced. Stay - The Royal Kelowna
Today is free for you to explore this beautiful region further or simply laze by the lakeshore and enjoy the hotel’s amenities. Activities in this area include biking, hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, ziplining and golf, as well as wine-tasting tours. Stay - The Royal Kelowna
Field, British Columbia
Depart Kelowna for your scenic drive to Canada’s Rocky Mountains. Follow the Trans-Canada Highway past the Eagle River and through Revelstoke where you may wish to stop for lunch. Continue through the spectacular Glacier National Park of Canada, with deep valleys filled with ancient forests. Follow the Kicking Horse River on to Yoho National Park where you will spend the next three nights.
Field, British Columbia
Cathedral Mountain Lodge is set on the Kicking Horse River and surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. Here you can choose to relax on your deck and enjoy the peace and solitude, paddle out on one lodge’s canoes or visit Moraine Lake and Lake Louise in neighbouring state Alberta, or try something a little more adventurous such as river rafting or horseback riding.
Field, British Columbia
Another full day to explore Yoho National Park. Stop by Emerald Lake, or take the gentle hike to the impressive Wapta Falls and visit the Upper Spiral Tunnel Scenic Viewpoint. Over the border in Alberta, Lake Louise is only a 25-minute drive from the lodge and Banff is under an hour, so can both can be explored in one day.
Clearwater and Wells Gray Provincial Park
Head back through Glacier National Park of Canada and Revelstoke before turning off the Trans-Canada Highway and travelling along the North Thompson River towards Clearwater. Two nights are spent at Alpine Meadows Resort, a charming resort of log chalets and homes located on Hallamore Lake.
Clearwater and Wells Gray Provincial Park
Wells Gray Provincial Park is just a one-hour drive from Alpine Meadows Resort. This scenic park offers an array of outdoor activities including white-water rafting, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding and scenic flights. The park is most famous for its 39 named waterfalls, including the thundering Helmcken Falls, which cascades 141 metres into the canyon below.
Chilcotin Mountains
Today you will pass through varied landscapes, from lakes along Highway 24 to petrified forests on Highway 97. As you turn on to Highway 99, stop to explore Historic Hat Creek Ranch where original buildings still stand from the 1860’s Gold Rush. Spectacular scenery appears as you drive through the dramatic Fraser River Canyon; continue past Carpenter Lake and into the South Chilcotin Mountains.
Chilcotin Mountains
Your resort is a true back country retreat, surrounded by rugged mountain scenery, stunning glaciers and pristine lakes. Explore Tyaughton Lake in a canoe or on a stand-up paddle board, and look out for local wildlife including bears and eagles. Hire a mountain bike and head out on one of the single-track biking routes, or simply relax and enjoy a body treatment at the resort’s spa.

Chilcotin Mountains
Outdoor adventures are what Tyax specialises in. You can choose from a variety of experiences, including guided mountain biking tours or horseback riding excursions for riders of all levels. You can even opt to take to the skies on a floatplane tour for an aerial view of the jaw-dropping wilderness and the Southern Chilcoltin Mountains.

Wend your way back through the Southern Chilcotin Mountains to Lillooet and continue along the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Canada’s premier ski resort of Whistler. This lively resort is as popular in the summer as it is in winter. The pedestrian-only village offers an incredible choice of boutiques, bars and restaurants alongside a vast range of summer and winter activities.
Enjoy a full day exploring Whistler. A highlight is the Peak-2-Peak Gondola, the world’s longest free-span gondola ride that connects Blackcomb Mountain and Whistler Mountain on a 1.88-mile journey. On your chairlift ride up to the Peak-2-Peak keep a lookout down below for Black bears which are often seen in this area.

Today you will return to Vancouver for your flight back to the UK. The drive along the Sea-to-Sky Highway takes you along the edge of the beautiful Howe Sound. Stop at Shannon Falls and enjoy the scenic drive along Howe Sound and Horseshoe Bay.
