The Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon that many have on the top of their list of things to witness, and Iceland is the perfect destination to see these. This incredible Island in the North Altantic Ocean has so much more to offer than just the Northern Lights and this short-break to Reykjavik showcases some of the island’s most dramatic scenery along the south coast including Eyjafjallajokull Volcano that erupted in 2010. Other highlights include walking behind the spectacular Seljalandsfoss Falls, visiting the mighty Skogafoss Falls, as well as driving off-road along black sand beaches.

Itinerary

After arriving at Keflavik International Airport you will be transferred your Reykjavik hotel to enjoy free-time before you join your Northern Lights adventure with SuperJeeps in the evening. You will be driven out in to the darkness to an area away from any artificial light pollution in search of the Auro

A full day at leisure for you to explore Reykjavik’s museums, attractions and galleries. For those with an adventurous streak we can arrange a snowmobile tour at Gullfoss on Europe’s second largest ice cap or include this as part of an optional SuperJeeps Golden Circle tour.
Skogafoss
After an early breakfast you will head out to the wild south coast of Iceland with SuperJeeps, where you will discover landscapes of lava fields, dormant volcanoes and majestic waterfalls. On your way to Eyjafjallajokull you will visit areas that were most affected by the 2010 eruption of this now dormant volcano. Take a walk behind the spectacular Seljalandsfoss waterfall and visit the mighty Skogafoss Falls before heading off-road and driving along the black sand beaches pounded by the Atlanti
Check out of your hotel and be ready for your private transfer to Keflavik International Airport for your flight back to the UK.
