Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival Kota Kinabalu
On arrival in Kota Kinabalu you will be met and transferred to Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa . Check in and relax after your flight. Check-out the pool and enjoy the hotel's facilities.
Day 2 Kota Kinabalu
Enjoy a day free to relax. Take advantage of the resort facilities, maybe pamper yourself at Chi the spa, read a book by the pool or relax on the beach. If you're feeling adventurous, get out and explore Kota Kinabalu city.

Day 3 Kota Kinabalu – Kinabalu Park
Start your exploration of Borneo with a mountainous drive to Kinabalu Park. Nature enthusiasts will be delighted with a jungle trek and a visit to the mountain garden to explore the exceptionally rich flora with examples of Himalaya, China, Australia, Malaysia and pan-tropical flora. Upon return, enjoy an informative presentation organized in the Park and learn about Borneo's rainforest environment.
Day 5 Sukau
An early morning cruise up the Kinabatangan River and on to Kelenanap Ox-Bow Lake for bird watching and wildlife spotting for Borneo's iconic Proboscis monkey, orangutans or pygmy elephants. Take a short jungle walk and experience the wilderness of Borneo before returning for breakfast. The rest of the day is free to explore. This evening take a boat trip along the river to see many species of flora and fauna of the rainforest.
Day 7 Sandakan - Kota Kinabalu
Head to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and learn how orangutans are rescued and rehabilitated before being released back into their natural habitat. View the morning orangutan feeding from a viewing platform and a trek into pristine, protected jungle.
Enjoy lunch before departing to Sandakan airport for your onward flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
Day 8 Kota Kinabalu
Enjoy the morning at leisure on the beach or by the pool before heading to airport for your flight back to the UK
