This six-day peek into the heart of the Kingdom of Cambodia explores the vibrant capital of Phnom Penh, the soul-stirring Choeung Ek killing fields, Siem Reap and of course the famous temples of Angkor. After, fly to Thailand to spend time relaxing on the beach.

Itinerary

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide, who will accompany you to your hotel. Phnom Penh was once considered as one of the most beautiful cities in the Orient, and despite its recent history, it still retains a colonial charm. Optional: Khmer Welcome Dinner at Bopha Phnom Penh Titanic serving tasty Khmer (and Western) cuisine on the terrace of a restaurant with river views. Apsara dancing is performed nightly between 7-9pm.
This morning, explore the remarkable sights of Phnom Penh in a Cyclo. First, visit Wat Phnom, then continue to the Royal Palace, dating back to 1866. Then visit the National Museum, which was built in traditional Khmer style. This afternoon gain insight into Cambodia’s recent dark history on a visit to the remarkable Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Further visit the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, allowing you to dig below the surface and understand Cambodia better.
Staying at   La Rose Suites
Depart and travel through the Cambodian countryside towards Kampong Thom. Stop en route at Skun Market to buy a bag of the ch’ngain (tasty) spiders, caught in the soft ground of the surrounding countryside and dug out of their burrows. Optional: Visit Sambor Prei Kuk, one of the most important pre-Angkorian sites in the country that is enlisted to potentially become Cambodia’s next UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ask us for prices. Continue onto Siem Reap and check into your hotel.
After breakfast, visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom by ‘remork’ (similar to the tuk tuk). Continue to Ta Prohm temple, built in the mid-12th to early 13th centuries. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure or take part in an optional tour, ask us for prices. Optional: Angkor Silk Farm - Here you can witness the entire process of silk creation. Optional: Horse Back and Quad Bike Rides - Half day outings to the heart of Cambodia, passing local villages and rice fields.
Breakfast at the hotel then enjoy the morning at leisure or take part in an optional activities, ask us for prices. Optional Cooking Class at Cassia Restaurant -Discover the secrets of authentic Khmer cuisine in a half-day cooking class.Optional Kbal Spean/Banteay Srei - One of the earliest Hindu pilgrimage sites in Cambodia. This afternoon visit the Angkor Wat Temple. Stay here until the sun sets and witness the 2000 Apsara dancers decorating the temple.
Eembark on an boat trip on the Tonlé Sap Lake. This is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and officially designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Board a local boat and visit Kompong Phluck,  where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when Tonlé Sap Lake extends. Pass floating houses and impressive flooded forests. (Note: The boat trip is only possible from June to March. However a floating village at Chong Kneas can be arranged). Later, board your flight to Bangkok.
Hua Hin is approximately 3 hours drive from Bangkok. Spend the next few days relaxing at your lovely beach resort.
Relax and enjoy your time at leisure at Anantara Hua Hin. Modelled on a traditional Thai village, low-rise gabled pavilions are set among lush tropical grounds with lotus-filled lagoons and pathways meandering through exotic foliage. The resort has easy access to historical attractions, shopping, theme parks, vineyards and golf courses
Another day of relaxation. Spend the day lazing by the resort’s free-form pool with swim-up bar. Suite guests can use the exclusive Lagoon Pool with complimentary sunset cocktails and canapes. If you’re feeling a bit more active then check out the fitness centre, try Muay Thai boxing, kite-surfing, sea kayaking, snorkelling, yoga or tennis. Thailand’s first ever golf course is located only a few minutes from the resort.
A last day to enjoy the resort or you may want to venture out. Sites of interest include Huay Mongkol Temple, Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park, Pa La-U Waterfall, and Hua Hin Hills Vineyard. Hua Hin Night Market is a great place to wander, shop for souvenirs and try some of the delicious street foods on offer.
Spend the day at leisure before transfering to Bangkok airport for your flight home.
