Embark on the luxurious Zambezi Queen ship and cruise the stunning waters of the Chobe River. On this journey, you’ll look upon the wildlife wonders of Africa, and watch as the animals migrate to the river for a drink and a splash around in the afternoon heat.

This incredible Zambezi Queen is an impressive 42-metres long, offering sophisticated luxury that sails through the incredible surroundings of Africa. The Zambezi Queen holds 14 air-conditioned suites with private balconies where you can take in the stunning unobstructed scenery of the Chobe River and the gorgeous African scenery. Each morning, wake up to stunning views of the elephants taking a sip of water by the river, or watch the fish eagles hunt and take flight with their prey, all from the comfort of your luxurious bed.

From here, you’ll head on to Victoria Falls to see the spectacular gorge and its dramatic spray of water from the plunging waterfall; a remarkable experience that you won’t want to miss!

Finally, finish this incredible itinerary with a visit to the Hwange National Park where you’ll get to experience an old-fashioned safari at Somalisa Camp.

Itinerary

From the moment you arrive at the Kasane Airport, you’ll be in the safe hands of the Zambezi Queen staff. After a short visit to the Immigration Office, board the game viewing “Queen” where a briefing of the boat, activities and schedules will take place before dinner. Start your journey cruising along the banks of the Chobe River, surrounded in the elegance of the cruise ship whilst you watch the wonders of nature and wildlife unfold across the beautiful waters.
Get up bright and early to seize the day with breakfast at 6:45am. Choose between a game drive to see the animals up close on land or stay afloat on a smaller boat to explore. Head back to the luxury Zambezi Queen for some delicious lunch after a long morning of exploring African wildlife. After lunch, choose between staying on the water for another game-viewing, or head into the village for an extraordinary cultural tour by mokoro.
Staying at   Zambezi Queen
Start your day with breakfast at 8am. Choose between a day of relaxing from your personal balcony or the common areas of the ship or fill your day with extraordinary activities. Activities include boarding a smaller game viewing boat, bream or tiger fishing, heading to land to lounge on the river beach or a village tour. Come nightfall, gaze up at the glimmering stars that light up the unpolluted sky. Don’t forget to watch the glorious sunset with a drink before the farewell dinner.
Staying at   Zambezi Queen
In the morning, transfers through Kasane and Botswana Immigration Offices, ready to stamp out and cross into Zimbabwe. Explore the beauty of one of the world’s seven wonders, Victoria Falls. See the captivating rainforest and watch as the water thunders down, cascading stunning reflections and rainbows as the sun beams over it. Take time to examine the fascinating plants and glimpses of beautiful species that inhabit this beautiful waterfall before heading to Victoria Falls Hotel for the night.
Take your complimentary breakfast early and leave at 11:30am for a day of activities. Attend the Elephant Art Experience to have the chance to ethically feed, interact and observe Africa’s most beloved gentle giants. Watch as they splash mud onto the set-up palettes and opt for a private tour. Later, board The Bushtracks Express and transport yourself back to the early 20th century with elegant dining cars and an observation car for when the train crosses and parks on the stunning Victoria Falls Bridge during the magnificent sunset.
Enjoy a full day of leisure at your hotel before an extraordinary experience to perfectly end your day. The sunset safari cruise will be the highlight of the days activities as it sails you through the enchanting and unseen parts of the Zambezi River. This cruise ship is specially designed jet propellers, perfect for taking you through the shallow waters. In this boat, you can reach the gorgeous waters surrounding the islands above the waterfalls, and you will get a front-row view of ‘The Smoke that Thunders’.
Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
At 8am you’ll depart from your hotel and embark on a three-hour journey to Hwange to meet the Somalisa Camp Guide. On the way to the lodge, your transfer will take you on a scenic game drive for a fantastic opportunity of seeing more wildlife and stop for a picnic lunch. In the evening, join your guide for a night game drive to see the wildlife under the stars or retire to your chalet to watch wildlife migrating to the water hole for a refreshing drink.
Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
Start your day early and wake at 6am with a morning brew of your choice, then depart from your chalet to your early morning game drive and watch nature wake up in front of you. Afterwards, head back to the lodge at 10am for a sport of brunch and enjoy some free time before heading to an afternoon game drive. At 8pm, you’ll go back to the lodge, freshen up and enjoy dinner on the deck.
Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
Spend another day taking morning and afternoon game drives through the wilderness and watch as the animals wander the land and sip on the waters of the rivers and water hole. Indulge in the hotel’s fine foods for breakfast and brunch and finish the day with another superb dinner on the deck at 8pm.
Wake up early to enjoy you breakfast before your road transfer to Hwange Safari Lodge Hub where you will be met by a representative. From here you will be transferred back to Victoria Falls International Airport for your international flight home.
