Full accommodation information

Superbly located in a picturesque valley, this family-run hacienda offers guests plenty of history, authentic Andean culture and comfortable accommodation.

Hacienda Zuleta is a working farm that produces dairy, wheat and a variety of fresh ingredients; almost everything used in the delicious Ecuadorian cuisine at the hacienda is grown in the organic gardens or on the farm.

The 15 guestrooms, with queen-size or king-size beds, are located in the main colonial building, which dates back to 1691. The history of the building means that each room is unique, still bearing many colonial features. Rooms, decorated with antiques and family photos, feel as though they are in a private home, meaning guests feel comfortable and relaxed as soon as they arrive. Deluxe Rooms offer more space, with many also featuring a terrace overlooking the beautiful hacienda garden.

A wide range of activities within the hacienda’s grounds and in the surrounding area make this a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. More than 50 kilometres of hiking trails are great for self-guided adventures, with other activities including horseback riding and bird watching. Visit the Andean Condor Huasi Project, try your hand at Ecuadorian cooking, or take part in some of the many cultural projects that take guests into the local communities.
