Situated approximately 10 minutes’ drive from the heart of Stowe Village and set on 2,500 acres of land, The Trapp Family Lodge is a mountain resort designed in an Austrian style.

Open year-round, this full-service resort was created by the family that inspired the famous film ‘The Sound of Music’.

Decorated in a European style with a romantic feel, the Trapp Family Lodge has a collection of 96 rooms and numerous chalets and villas. Many accommodations feature mountain views such as the Deluxe Room, whilst the Premier Room is ideal for a family with young children. One and Two Bedroom Family Suites are also available.

The Trapp Family Lodge has a range of fantastic amenities from three swimming pools (one indoor), four clay tennis courts, wine tasting experiences, fitness classes, arts and crafts sessions and yoga. In the springtime, see the process of maple sugaring and in the summer, experience concerts in the meadows. Dining takes place in The Dining Room, The Lounge and Kaffeehaus Bakery & Delicatessen.

Bierhall serves homemade beer that has been brewed at the on-site von Trapp Brewing.
