Occupying a unique location on the North East coast of Nantucket, the small luxury seaside retreat The Wauwinet sits between two beaches, one facing the Atlantic Ocean and the other, Nantucket Bay. This quintessentially New England property is the only Relais & Chateaux Hotel on the island and offers impeccable service, exquisite accommodation and award-winning dining. The property is tucked away from the centre of Nantucket and lies beside the Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge.

The 32 rooms and four charming cottages are decorated in a classic yet sophisticated New England style. Furnished with fresh wildflowers, aromatherapy bath products, custom furnishings and luxury bedding. Guests in the Coatue Suite can enjoy complimentary use of a BMW X5 sports car.

A stay at the Wauwinet is made even more special with complimentary inclusions such as; lobstering excursions, scenic off-road drives, kayaks and apple cider in the library in the fall. Other services include an early riser's breakfast, continental breakfast, afternoon port and cheese, use of bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards and tennis. Travel into town on the hourly van shuttle service or aboard the hotel's Wauwinet Lady boat shuttle with Captain Rob. Topper’s Restaurant at The Wauwinet is arguably one of the best on the island serving a la carte and prix fixe menus of delicious seasonal cuisine.

Bayview Bedrooms

These are located on the second and third floors and feature a queen size bed and views of Nantucket Bay.

Guest Bedrooms

These feature a queen size bed and are located on the second and third floors of the Main Inn and overlook the garden at the front of the hotel.

Superior Room

Superior Bedrooms are located on the first and second floors of the Main Inn and offer views of the garden at the front of the hotel. The rooms feature a king size bed and sitting area.

Deluxe Bayview Bedrooms

These are situated on the second floor of the hotel and have a king size bed, two chairs and views of Nantucket Bay.

Guest Two Twin Beds

This cozy room features two twin beds and has a nautical theme with views over the garden.

Superior Two Queens

These are located on the second floor and have two queen beds, a sitting area and views of the garden at the front of the hotel.

Suites & Cottage

The Coatue Suite has a sitting area, king size bed and French doors leading out to a deck with views of Nantucket Bay. The One Bedroom Cottage Suites are situated across from the Main Inn and have a living room, separate bedroom with king size bed and spacious bathroom. The Two Bedroom Courtyard Cottage has two adjoining bedroom; one with a king size bed and the other with a queen. There is a private sundeck and umbrella shaded hotel.
