Set on 25 acres of land with views out to Pleasant Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, the Chatham Bars Inn is a wonderful, charming and luxury resort situated nearby to the centre of Chatham. Since 1914, the resort has welcomed guests to this beautiful and peaceful location in Cape Cod.

Rooms and Suites are spread throughout the property in the Main Inn and Cottages. There are four great restaurants at The Chatham Bars Inn specializing in New England cuisine, steak, fresh fish and in the summer months, guests can enjoy themed evenings, such as clam bakes! Also enjoy afternoon tea at the South Lounge and lighter meals at the Veranda restaurant.

Fill your time visiting the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, going deep sea fishing, whale watching and catching lobster, all on the resort’s private boats- the Star, Star Fish, Wind Star and Lob Star. The Bar Tender is also available for breakfasts and twilight cruises. Take the complimentary shuttle service leaving every 30 minutes to the outer beach, only accessible by boat, where you can enjoy a stunning barrier beach (open from mid-June to Labor Day). At the beach relax on the chairs, chaises lounges and under umbrellas.

Other activities include cycling through the pretty areas of Chatham, taking an excursion on the Land Rovers on the dunes of Nauset Beach, taking a group walk with the naturalist through Monomoy Natural Wildlife Refuge on Morris Island, riding in the 1929 Ford Model A Woody around Chatham and taking the Cape Cod Rail through varying landscapes. Back in the resort, swim in the oceanfront heated swimming pool. Adults can enjoy the great Spa where there are wet and dry rooms, Vichy shower room, outdoor relaxation pool and lovely Japanese Zen gardens.

Children can attend the kids programs, running from late June to early September and are looked after by an experienced team. Little ones aged 4-6 (Beach Buddies) can enjoy games, crafts, tennis, baking cookies and a talent show. Clam Diggers aged 7-9 can watch drive-in movies, sing at costume karaoke and enjoy the wacky beach olympics. Kids aged 10-12 (Wash-a-Shores) may go on scavenger hunts and chill out at evening beach parties with bonfires.

Ocean View Room

Ocean View Rooms are located in the Main Inn on the second and third floors. There is a private deck or balcony with views of Chatham Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. All have a queen size bed.

Deluxe Main Inn

Deluxe rooms are located on the second and third floor on the back side of the inn. There are queen size beds and some also feature a deck or balcony looking out the back of the inn.

Ocean View Cottage Rooms

Ocean View Cottage Rooms are situated along the bluff or next to the Main Inn and have a king size or two queen size beds. Many also have a patio or deck or fireplace.

Ocean View Cottage Suites

Ocean View Cottage Suites are situated along the bluff or next to the Main Inn and have a king or two queen size beds, separate living room with queen sleeper sofa and some have a deck or patio.

Deluxe Master Suite

These stunning suites overlook Cape Cod's natural beauty and feature a luxurious bathroom and elegantly appointed living room with a gas fireplace and queen-size sleeper couch.

Ocean View Master Suite

These lavish suites are the finest oceanfront accommodation at Chatham Bars Inn. The luxurious bathrooms feature a separate soaking tub and walk-in shower, the separate living room features a gas fireplace and is large enough to entertain guests.

Deluxe Cottage Rooms

The Deluxe Cottage Rooms are located behind the Main Inn, close to the spa and golf course. There are views of the lush landscaped gardens and feature hand painted furniture and sumptuous King or two Queen beds.

Deluxe Cottage Suites

These suites offer tranquil views of the landscaped ground at Chatham Bars Inn, they are tucked away in serene locations throughout the property. Each suite offers a separate living room with queen sleeper couch, the bedroom is configured with one King bed or two queens.

Ocean View Suites

These suites are located on the second and third floor of the Historic Main Inn. These elegantly furnished and decorated rooms offer sweeping views of the ocean from their deck or balcony and feature a separate living room with a queen size sleeper couch.
