Following a stop at the Hanapepe Valley Overlook to admire the jaw-dropping natural views, it's onto the main event. Located on the south shore of Kauai, Waimea Canyon is celebrated for its striking natural beauty. Known as the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific', it offers multiple drive-up lookouts, vantage points, waterfalls and scenic hiking routes. This incredible canyon is one of the largest in Hawaii, delving 3,000ft deep and a mile across the Earth’s surface, and the history of Kauai can be traced across its many walls and crags.
After exploring the canyon, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in Hanapepe, a restorative pick- me-up in the sun. Next, you'll be driven through charming historic towns along the coast stopping to visit the Spouting Horn Blowhole. Here, the Po?ipu surf flows into a natural lava tube and releases a huge spout of water that can launch as high as 50ft into the air!
