This three-day rail adventure takes in British Columbia’s varied scenery, travelling through dense coastal rainforest, canyons and vast ranch lands of the Caribou Plateau. Watch through the window while you pass North America’s southernmost fjord, Howe Sound, and the cold glacial waters of Green Lake. Visit the remote gold pan city of Quesnel, with its rolling pastoral landscape and heritage buildings. The Rocky Mountaineer will carve through mountainous terrain while you watch incredible waterfalls tumble down the mountainsides on your journey past Mount Robson. Keep a look out for bears and moose as you cross the border in to Alberta for your final stop in the alpine town of Jasper.

Day 1 - Vancouver to Whistler

Board the Rocky Mountaineer in Vancouver for your rail adventure through rain forest, canyons and mountains. Your journey travels through stunning scenery along the Sea to Sky Corridor to Canada’s premier ski resort and summer playground of Whistler. Take in spectacular views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls and Cheakamus Canyon. You will spend tonight in a hotel in Whistler.

Day 2 - Whistler to Quesnel

Depart Whistler on a journey through some of British Columbia’s most breath-taking scenery. The journey hugs the edge of Green Lake and follows the shores of Anderson Lake for 15-miles. The track carves its way through the dramatic Fraser Canyon and winds across the rolling pastoral landscapes and vast ranch lands of the Caribou Plateau to the gold-pan city of Quesnel. Enjoy the charm of this remote town which is a treasure trove of heritage buildings.

Day 3 - Quesnel to Jasper

The Rocky Mountaineer continues its journey to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. Follow the mighty Fraser River, the longest river in British Columbia that flows from the Rocky Mountains to the Strait of Georgia at Vancouver. Pass through Prince George, the northern capital of British Columbia, and continue along the Fraser River past the impressive Mount Robson. Cross the border into Alberta where your journey ends in the Alpine town of Jasper.
