April Point Resort & Spa

The serene and rustic April Point Resort & Spa is set on the shores of Quadra Island overlooking Discovery Passage & Gowlland Harbour.

Quadra Island can be accessed by BC Ferries regular service from Campbell River, the 10-minute ferry crossing will also accept vehicles so you can explore the island at your leisure.

Guests of April Point also have access to the facilities of sister property Painter’s Lodge in Campbell River, which can be reached by complimentary water shuttle.

April Point Resort & Spa is a haven and sanctuary, an escape from the normal days routine where you can meander through the resort grounds or kayak around the unspoilt coastline.

The resort offers a variety of accommodations including Ocean View and Harbourside Rooms, as well as cottages in the woods and two to four-bedroom houses ideal for groups of friends or larger families.

Explore the great outdoors on a wildlife adventure tour searching for freely roaming animals in their natural habitat or take to the water by zodiac in Campbell River in search of orcas or other marine mammals. Orcas pass through Discovery Passage throughout the year and super clans of over 100 whales have be known to be spotted in the area. Grizzly bear tours to the Coast Range mountains are available from late August to early October while these beautiful creatures feed off the salmon-rich waters. On wilderness tours, you may also see black bears, Pacific white-sided dolphins, seals, sea lions and bald eagles.

Quadra Island can be explored by car or mountain bike, or explore the coast and deep fjords by kayak or yacht. Enjoy a spectacular sunrise walk along Rebecca Spit or follow the trail around Morte Lake by mountain bike. The resorts oceanfront restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with house-made granola, fish tacos, pasta, burgers and delicious west coast cuisine being served daily, its speciality being fresh seafood includes seafood chowder, steamed mussels and clams and Albacore Tuna.
