Embark on a multi-centre adventure through Guadeloupe, where vibrant Creole culture and tropical landscapes await.

Tracing the footsteps of Death in Paradise through charming fishing villages and palm-fringed beaches, you’ll stay at three resorts, driving between them at your own pace. You’ll learn about the island’s history of sugar cane plantations and take hikes through lush rainforests and volcanic peaks, where cascading waterfalls and hidden thermal pools offer moments of serenity.

There are plenty of experiences to delve into too, from visiting rum distilleries to browsing local markets. And, when you’re not exploring, you can sink into the soft sands of secluded beaches, the turquoise waters inviting you to unwind in true Caribbean style. This journey is a seamless blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion, perfect if you’re seeking a deeper connection to the soul of the Caribbean.

Itinerary

After arriving Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport, you’ll collect your hire car and make the 20-minute drive to La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa. Spend time relaxing on the white sand beach at the resort, or drive the short distance into Le Gosier to explore the bars, restaurants and local markets. For a taste of adventure, take the ferry over to the island of Marie-Galante and explore the rum distilleries, quaint châteaus and isolated beaches.
Set off on the 50-minute drive to Langley Resort Fort Royal to discover the opposite side of the island. While here, you can opt to take a tour of Death in Paradise filming locations across the town of Deshaies and the nearby areas of Pointe-Noire and Sainte-Rose. Between April and September, you’ll be able to see the Inspector’s beach shack on Perle Beach. Year-round, you can stop at ‘Catherine’s Bar’ – a real-life Cajun and Creole restaurant called Le Madras, where you can stop for lunch.
Your final stop awaits at Le Jardin Malanga Hotel, roughly a 1hr 40min drive away. Discover a whole new side of the island at Guadeloupe National Park and explore the diverse hiking trails; on a two-hour hike, you can see the beautiful Carbet Falls and ascend the summit of La Soufrière volcano, which last erupted in 1976. When you’re done, soothe your muscles at the Bains Jaunes thermal pool located at the edge of the park. On your final morning, drive your hire car back to the airport for your flight home.
