Full accommodation information

Hidden among the Omani mountains and situated along a sandy private cove, with a lively atmosphere that brings together the family-friendly Al Waha and more exclusive Al Husn hotels, you will find that this is a place to do as little or as much as you please.

Accommodation at Shangri-La's Al Bandar Hotel

Each of Al Bandar's 198 sea-facing rooms is appointed in simple Arabian-inspired style. The hotel also boasts an array of dining options, from sumptuous Middle Eastern buffet to innovative Italian cuisine. Of course, guests are also welcome to dine at many restaurants across the entire resort.

The hotel's commanding Arabian architecture wraps itself around an expansive freeform swimming pool, which is just a few steps from the resort's private sandy beach, where guests can enjoy an array of watersports, or simply explore the clear waters at their own leisure.

Things to do

Behind Al Bandar sits the Al Mazaar Souk, with yet more dining options and many opportunities for gift shopping, plus an Adventure Zone family entertainment centre, mini-golf and an adjacent Omani Heritage Village, with its own authentic souk atmosphere and many traditional arts and crafts on sale.

With so much on offer, make sure you leave some time to indulge at CHI, The Spa. An oasis of calm, this world-class facility offers many treatments that promise to relax and revive.

Furthermore, Shangri-La's Care For Nature Project underscores their dedication to preserving the environment. Biodiversity conservation and restoration efforts are at the forefront of their mission, ensuring the natural beauty of Oman remains untouched for generations to come.

The resort's culinary program is also built around their pledge to source produce locally and ethically. Their menus proudly feature sustainable items, reducing the carbon footprint associated with food sourcing. Not only does this approach elevate the dining experience for guests, but it also supports the local economy.

Finally, Shangri-La's Al Bandar Hotel goes beyond environmental and community efforts; their support of Make-A-Wish International also brings a ray of hope all over the world to children and their families during challenging times.
