Visiting Zermatt Ski Resort
The ski season in Zermatt is held between 10 November to the end of April. March and April are the best times to visit Zermatt with long sunny days and great conditions across the slopes. Locals favour this time. Zermatt Ski Resort is brimming with activities that you can partake on your winter or summer getaway. Boasting year-round fun, enjoy a wide scope of skiing and non-skiing activities across the resort.
Ski Areas and skiing/snowboarding in Zermatt – Comprised of 360km of ski runs, Zermatt is favoured by local skiers and boarders. Effortlessly ascend slopes and ski to your heart’s content with the help of the high-speed lifts and cable cars connecting the ski runs. Enjoy red runs on the Sunnegga Express and Paradies freeride if you’re an advanced skier. Descend Klein Matterhorn for a thrilling glide down Europe’s highest pistes at 3,820km. Be sure to cross the Italian border for a day of skiing the Cervinia.
Ski Schools and Creches in Zermatt – An array of schools are offered on Zermatt, offering fantastic lessons for all ski and snowboarding levels. Enjoy the stylish Hotel Alex, a cool lounge bar that offers a relaxing atmosphere and comfortable seating for you to sink into and indulge in a whiskey of your choice.
Off the Slopes – Explore plenty of activities for when you’re not skiing the slopes. Explore the charm of the Alpine village that holds an array of shopping opportunities. Be sure to walk the main street, Bahnhofstrasse, home to cafes, restaurants, and places to relax on a sun terrace.
