Hotel Col Alto

The hotel is home to 90 rooms, including 20 luxury suites and seven connecting rooms for families. All rooms have modern, alpine-style interiors that use local woods and upholstery to create a sense of place. Suites have views of the Dolomites and additional luxuries.

Double Room

Located in the main building of the hotel, these comfortable rooms sleep two, with amenities including free WiFi, a hair dryer, safe, and use of the spa’s indoor pool, wellness area and gym.

Double Room Martagon

Sleeps: 4 Adults

In the hotel’s Wellness Wing close to the pool and spa, these rooms have access to the wellness facilities, and plenty of space that includes a large en suite bathroom. In the winter you can take advantage of the ski depot with its heated lockers and private shuttle.

Double Room Superior

Sleeps: 4 Adults

These tranquil new rooms in the quieter part of the hotel are furnished with natural timber sourced locally. As with all accommodations there is an en suite and access to the spa facilities, including the indoor pool.

Suite Sassongher

Sleeps: 4 Adults

This large suite can sleep up to four guests. Each one is unique, but all are bright with a modern-alpine design. They have a spacious bathroom, views of the Corvara’s most famous mountain (Sassongher), and use of the spa facilities that includes the indoor swimming pool.

Suite Sella Ronda

Sleeps: 4 Adults

Ultra-spacious with a view of the Sellaronda slopes, this suite is ideal for families with 50m² of space and two bathrooms. All guests benefit from additional ski services in winter, which includes heated lockers and the hotel’s private shuttle.

Suite Fanes

The prestigious location of this suite within the hotel ensures breathtaking mountain views from the large windows in the bedroom and living room. A romantic retreat for two, enjoy access to the spa facilities included with your stay.

Suite Wellness Deluxe

The vast 60m² of space in this luxurious suite can accommodate up to five guests. Highlights include the suite’s private Finnish sauna with its amazing view of the Dolomites. Access to the gym, indoor pool and ski lockers is included as standard.

Suite Panorama

Sleeps: 6 Adults

A whopping 100m² of space makes this luxurious suite ideal if you want to add some ‘wow’ to your Italian ski holiday. A cosy fireplace gives the living space a homely feel, and out on the large terrace is a Jacuzzi to warm up after a day of skiing with stunning views of the Dolomites.

Suite Marmolada

Sleeps: 4 Adults

A privileged and sunny location ensures this suite has exceptional mountain views, which are best enjoyed whilst soaking in the window-side freestanding bathtub with a glass of champagne in-hand. There are two bathrooms, and the inclusions of all accommodations, such as entry to the spa with its indoor swimming pool.

Alongside the signature restaurant is a choice of three bars; each with its own distinct ambience to mix up your après-ski experience.

Restaurant Col Alto

From sea to mountains, the hotel’s restaurant celebrates Italian fare from Alpine traditional dishes to creative Mediterranean plates. Using local ingredients where possible, you’ll dine in an elegant yet cosy space that aims to take you on a “journey into the South Tyrolean culinary landscape”. Meals are accompanied by a salad buffet, and once every week there is a Ladin-themed dinner and a rich dessert buffet. Meals are complemented by a menu of local and national Italian wines.

Bar Col Alto

Pick from the extensive wine and spirit selection at this sophisticated bar with its cosy fireplaces and comfy chairs. This alpine retreat is a restful retreat for a post-ski hot chocolate or glass of Italian wine by the fire.

Iceberg Lounge Bar

This laidback spot serves up creative cocktails and champagne from a large counter made from Russian granite. With music and an exclusive atmosphere, it’s a lively spot for a late-night drink.

Cigar Lounge

This cosy lounge with its leather chairs and low tables is an old-school spot to recline with a premium cigar and fine rum or cognac. In this ambient space the hotel offers tastings, including the popular chocolate tasting experience.

Spa & Wellness

At the heart of the hotel is the large 1,000m² wellness area that’s home to many of the facilities included as part of every stay here.

The large indoor pool is great for warming up after a day on the slopes, with the gentle massage of the whirlpool’s bubbles brilliant to ease aching muscles. There is also the Kneipp Course; where hydrotherapy taps alternate hot and cold water to stimulate circulation and leave you feeling invigorated.

Additional facilities include a Finnish sauna, sea salt steam grotto, a classic Turkish bath, herbal bath, tepidarium and an ice fountain, which you can intersperse with chill-time in the relaxation zone.

Treatments available are from a menu of traditional massages and facials, with beauty therapies too; all using natural products where possible from La Natüra Beauty.

Winter activities

Most guests stay at Hotel Col Alto for its superb winter holiday position, giving ski-in-shuttle-out access to the Alta Badia and Dolomiti Superski domain, an extremely large area of slopes and facilities for all levels of skier and snowboarder.

The modern chairlifts are just a few hundred metres from the front door of the hotel, and access to heated lockers and a shuttle to the lifts are included for guests.

There’s plenty of fun to be had in the snow besides skiing and snowboarding too, with the hotel able to arrange snow shoeing, tobogganing, ice skating, Nordic walking and even winter hiking.

For kids there are snow parks, ski lessons and snow-covered meadows to play in, with Alta Badia renowned for its safe spaces for children to play in.

A great way to spend time as a family is with a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the village.
