Hotel information
Originally built in the 1970s, Le Val Thorens was one of the resort’s very first ski-in, ski-out providers. Since then, it’s seen a complete renovation, keeping the facilities and amenities up to date with modern times but retaining the quintessential 70s aesthetic the hotel is renowned for displaying.
After checking in, head to the ski shop and pick out your ski gear before hitting the slopes. Val Thorens is the highest resort in Europe and is part of Les 3 Vallées – the largest ski area in the world. Ideal for family, beginner, intermediate and expert skiers, Val Thorens and its 600km of slopes provide the ultimate basis for your ski adventures. If you’re a beginner, there’s a ‘magic carpet’ in front of the hotel, allowing you to return to the hotel easily. But if you’re an expert, there are 51 reds and 14 blacks at Val Thorens as well as 113 reds and 33 blacks across Les 3 Vallées for you to test out.
Afterwards, why not relax by utilising the range of wellness facilities? There’s a lovely indoor spa consisting of a hammam, sauna and a stunning view of the mountains from the swimming pool.
In addition, you can treat yourself by upgrading to the half board option that includes different choices such as Le 1971 for drinks, La Brasserie du Val Thorens for lunch and La Fondue for dinner. Whether you want to wake up with an invigorating coffee or indulge yourself with a traditional cheese-based dinner, there’s a mouth-watering array of locally inspired food and drinks available.
