A ski experience like no other is nestled in the mountains of Alberta. Take a luxury ski holiday to Lake Louise and Banff to scale the renowned slopes, immerse yourself in the vibrant mountain town and take in the stunning views.
At the heart of the Banff National Park UNESCO World Heritage Site sits the three ski resorts of Mount Norquay, Lake Louise and Sunshine Village. All types of skiers are welcome at this ski region, from thrill-seeking experts to beginners looking to slowly swoop the slopes whilst soaking in the unique landscapes of Alberta.
As you take on the 8,000 acres of skiable terrain, you can take a pause to admire the frozen lakes, the snow-sprinkled Rocky Mountains and the deep valleys wedged between them. Here, you’re at an elevation of 1,645m, so bring your camera to get a snapshot of the mountain scenery that surrounds you.
For night skiing, head to Banff Sunshine Village, located in the Canadian Rockies, a 15-minute drive from Banff town. The resort allows you to enjoy the slope that runs for 3,300 acres of terrain. Sunshine Village is the highest of the three mountains and has the fluffiest snow for a pleasurable ski.
The largest resort of the three is Lake Louise where beginner skiers can find novice terrain, while advanced skiers are welcome to sweep its esteemed back bowls. Perfect for families, this resort holds many restaurants and bakeries. Famed for its ‘off the slopes’ activities, Lake Louise proves itself to be a place for more than just skiing. Opt to skate across the Lake Louise, beautifully lit up at night. For something different, embark on a cosy sleigh ride through snowy dunes of Alberta.
Mount Norquay is your third resort, offering convenience in location just five minutes away from Banff and variety of skiing that is perfect for the experts to explore.
