Teardrop Hotels are renowned for their incredible locations in Sri Lanka and Goatfell is arguably the most spectacular in their collection.

Sitting at 2,000 feet above sea-level this boutique hotel blends into the idyllic misty tea hills as if it has been there since the dawn of time. Nestled amongst the tea bushes this renovated tea bungalow is over 100 years old and combines the colonial charm of an era gone by with the most luxurious contemporary comforts.

The snug, cosy hotel will have you feeling immediately at home. With warm open fires and sitting areas inviting you in for a cup of locally picked tea, covered veranda areas boasting incredible views over the misty Sri Lankan vistas, a comfortable library, and a dedicated Butler service to cater to your every need, Goatfell gives you all of Sri Lanka’s finest charm, in the most luxurious setting imaginable.

Perfect for honeymooners and families alike, snug rooms feature light decor and dark woods and are adorned with antiques, designer furniture, and modern amenities - elegantly blending together colonial and modern styles to create a chic, welcoming space. Every room features a beautiful four-poster bed and luxurious bedding. Due to the cool, fresh climate nights can be chilly up in the rolling hills and hot water bottles are tucked into the beds during turn down, ensuring a cosy night’s sleep.

Meanwhile, out in the infinity pool, you will find jaw-dropping views of the majestic misty hills and tea fields as you unwind and swim. The magnificent surroundings offer countless unforgettable activities and opportunities, from walking the magnificent estate roads and nearby trails lined by waterfalls, grassland and luscious tea bushes, to guided tours of tea factories and day trips to the nearby colonial town of Nuwara Eliya, a former British hill station that is often referred to as Little England.

Only four bedrooms are found in this beautiful boutique hotel. Bedrooms are designed to resemble the class and sophistication of the building’s historical origins, but also include contemporary design features and luxury amenities including; plush beds, sitting areas, private garden and estate-view terraces and en suite bathrooms with bathtubs for relaxing soaks.
