The hub of the island is The Piazza, a sumptuous dining area nestled beneath a large Indian almond tree. North Island has worked hard to restore the previously abandoned and overrun island to its former glory. Now, after the ‘Noah’s Ark’ programme was created, the island prides itself on its sustainable and ecological practices for preservation.

In an effort to conserve wildlife, the local community project, Magpie Robin, encompasses a range of organisations and donations from the public to conserve local birds. Plus, this island has been a nesting site for two species of turtles that the hotel assists in preserving. Now, the island has the highest number of nesting Green Turtle of inner Seychelles.

The resort’s aim to restore the forest cover has resulted in their project to create a natural ecologically restorative environment that will be completed in 2035.
