Set off on the ultimate two-week journey through Alaska and Canada, combining the luxury of Seabourn Encore with the iconic Rocky Mountaineer rail experience.

Begin with an overnight stay in Juneau before embarking on your cruise to explore the wilderness of Alaska. Sailing through iconic channels and fjords, you'll have a front row seat to some of the region's most spectacular sights that aren't accessible for larger ships, with a choice of immersive activities throughout, such as guided Zodiac excursions and a 'Caviar on Ice' experience. With Seabourn, you'll travel in total luxury, with all ocean-front suites, an on board spa, world-class dining and premium drinks included, and complimentary Seabourn all-weather parka by Helly Hansen.

After a short stay in Vancouver, you'll board the Rocky Mountaineer to delve deeper into British Columbia and Alberta, travelling through the Fraser Valley, past the whitewater rapids of Hell’s Gate, and into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. You'll have panoramic views of uninhabited scenery through the domed windows from the comfort of your private cabin while enjoying gourmet meals. You'll stop for the night in Kamloops and Banff for a final dose of spectacular mountain scenery before departing home.

Itinerary

Juneau
Arrive in Juneau and transfer to your hotel for a one-night pre-cruise stay. Take the afternoon to relax and explore at leisure, soaking in the beauty of Alaska’s capital city before your voyage begins.
Transfer to the port to embark Seabourn Encore. Settle into your suite and familiarise yourself with the ship’s luxury amenities. The ship will depart in the evening, and you'll begin your journey along Alaska’s spectacular coastline.
Glacier Bay
Cruise into Glacier Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Alaska’s most iconic natural landscapes. Spot towering glaciers, some advancing several feet per day, and watch for wildlife along the shoreline, including bears, moose, eagles, and seals. Later, continue cruising through Stephens Passage, enjoying the dramatic scenery from the comfort of your suite or the ship’s observation decks.
Wrangell
Pass through Decision Passage, the route to the historic town of Sitka. Arrive mid-morning in Wrangell, nestled within the Tongass National Rainforest. Discover Tlingit history, explore Totem Park, or spot brown and black bears at Anan Creek Bear Observatory. Depart in the evening and cruise the picturesque Stikine Strait.
Rudyerd Island
Sail through the Behm Canal in the morning, part of Alaska’s Inside Passage, before arriving at Rudyerd Island in the Misty Fjords National Monument. Spend the day exploring by Zodiac or kayak, before boarding the ship for an early evening departure to continue to explore the Misty Fjords by ship. Cruise among towering granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and lush forests while spotting mountain goats, bears, eagles and whales, with optional excursions including a short floatplane sightseeing flight.
Prince Rupert, British Columbia
Arrive in Prince Rupert, framed by coastal mountains. Explore with your choice of excursions: take a guided tour of the city or explore by vintage trolley; follow a chef for a meze tasting; hike Butze Rainforest; embark on a panoramic mountain trail trek or spend the afternoon spotting bears or whales.
Princess Royal Channel
Spend a full day at sea, cruising through the Grenville Channel, the Whale Channel, and the Princess Royal Channel. Admire snow-capped peaks, remote First Nations villages, and abundant wildlife, including bears, deer, eagles, orcas, and dolphins. Onboard, enjoy the spa, sun terrace, and other ship facilities.
Alert Bay
Spend the morning in Alert Bay on Cormorant Island, rich with Kwakwaka'wakw heritage and historic sites like the U’mista Cultural Centre. For more natural beauty, head out by Zodiac or kayak to explore Cormorant Channel Marine Park. In early afternoon, return to the ship to continue sailing through Johnstone Strait, a prime location for spotting orcas, and navigate the tidal currents of Seymour Narrows before heading toward Vancouver.
Disembark Seabourn Encore and transfer to your city hotel for a three-night stay. Explore Vancouver at leisure, from the forested trails and seawalls in Stanley Park to panoramic views at Grouse Mountain, or wander the city’s vibrant neighbourhoods and sample their diverse culinary scenes. Enjoy some time to rest and relax before the next part of your adventure.
Kamloops
Transfer to the train station and board the Rocky Mountaineer in Gold Leaf class for the iconic 'First Passage to the West' journey. Travel through the Fraser Valley while enjoying breakfast on board, passing the mighty Fraser River and the rapids of Hell’s Gate. A three-course lunch accompanies the scenic ride before you arrive in Kamloops, where you can stroll along the river and relax during your overnight stay.
Continue eastward on the Rocky Mountaineer through the Shuswap region, enjoying breakfast and a gourmet lunch on board while mountains rise dramatically around you. Admire the iconic Castle Mountain before arriving in Banff in the afternoon. Settle in for a two-night hotel stay and take time to explore the town or enjoy the surrounding mountain vistas.
Spend a full day in Banff, exploring the town or venturing into the surrounding Rockies. Options include hiking, visiting Lake Louise, or taking a scenic drive along the Icefields Parkway. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your hotel, reflecting on your journey through Alaska and the Canadian Rockies.
Calgary
After breakfast, take a private transfer from Banff to Calgary Airport for your flight back to the UK, completing a journey of majestic scenery, luxury travel, and unforgettable experiences.
