Itinerary

Fly from the UK to Barbados and transfer to your hotel for a one-night pre-cruise stay.
Private transfer to the port to embark the Seven Seas Splendor for your 14-night all-inclusive voyage. Depart in the evening and enjoy dinner before making yourself at home in your cosy Veranda Suite.
Arrive early in Kingstown, the ‘City of Arches’ – the gorgeous capital of St Vincent & The Grenadines. To experience this beautiful part of the world to the fullest, you have a plethora of add-on excursions at your disposal. For example, why not head out on a complimentary ‘whales, dolphins and volcanoes’ tour? While cruising along St Vincent’s western shore, look out for the marvellous marine creatures and behold the still active La Soufriere Volcano which towers above the landscape.
Scarborough
Today, you get to explore the wonderful port of Scarborough over in southwest Trinidad & Tobago. Brimming with a brisk vibrancy, this hidden gem is the place to be to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There are many add-on excursions to choose from, too. Why not head inland to see some of the Caribbean’s most picturesque coastal views? Or perhaps go birding at the Tropical Garden and Nature Reserve? The buzz of hummingbirds fills the air surrounding the grounds.
Spend this day cruising along the Atlantic Ocean. To fill the time, you have a variety of things to do on the ship. Splendor has some fabulous boutiques displaying everything from shimmering evening wear to smart gifts. With so many luxurious items to browse between, you’re truly spoilt for choice. Pick up an exclusive fragrance or fine jewellery as a gift for someone back home. There’s surely something with your name on, whether it’s a statement piece or something more understated.
Devil’s Island
Anchor down on the Devil’s Island, aptly named for its previous role in harbouring the infamous penal colony to which convicts were deported from France. Nowadays, this French Guianan rocket islet acts as a paradisical sanctuary which nature has reclaimed. Tropical foliage has encapsulated the old prison buildings, serving as a reminder of its once-dark past, but also its timeless beauty. Currently, there are no shore excursions offered for this port, but feel free to explore and relax.
Enjoy another day on the Atlantic Ocean. Why not use this spare time to discover your new favourite cuisine at one of the many fine dining establishments onboard the ship? Chartreuse takes you to the delicious flavours of France, including frog legs in a creamy garlic sauce. Whereas with Coffee Connection, the chic metropolitan vibes are only complemented by the expertly made hot drinks. Prime 7 is also an option, its mouthwatering American-style dishes always cooked to perfection.
Reach the Coast of Brazil, where you’ll cruise its serene waters for the rest of the day. Daytime enrichment aboard the ship includes the putting green, pool deck and the excellent bocce court. Additionally, you could even head to the infinity-edge plunge pool, from which you’re able to soak in dreamy waters and take in dramatic views around you. There’s also the atrium, a natural gathering place for guests to unwind, whether that’s with a good book or to have a chat with loved ones.
Fortaleza
Urban beaches and a rich culture are typical of Fortaleza. The first stop on your tour of Brazil, this sprawling city is known for its shady waterfront cafes and the European-like Metropolitan Cathedral. To make most of your time here, opt for an add-on excursion. The Fortaleza Highlights tour is the perfect way to get acquainted with the breadth of sights and sounds of the Ceará capital. Enjoy a guided walk of the city centre, visit the main square and browse the handicrafts market.
Head back out on the Coast of Brazil. This time, after a day of relaxation, spend the evening with some excellent entertainment. Available to you is a number of lounges, from the Meridian Lounge to the Observation Lounge and Splendor Lounge, each designed to provide you with the utmost comfort. There’s also the casino, which is inspired by the iconic halls of Las Vegas and Monte Carlo. Challenge your friends or family to poker and blackjack or test your luck on the roulette wheel.
Recife
Step back in time to the colonial period in Recife, Brazil’s state capital of Pernambuco. Its winding streets and meticulously restored homes harken back to a period when the Portuguese first arrived. As well as being able to wander through its charming plazas and to the handicraft shops, you can experience exceptional add-on excursions. Cruise the waterways bisecting the city on a catamaran tour, passing by the landmarks that define the area and visiting a unique museum of giant puppets.
Maceio
Travel southwards along the coast to Maceio – beloved by locals for its relaxed downtown and sun-kissed shorelines. With a ‘Maceio Highlights’ add-on excursion, not only do you get to see the downtown area, but you also tour the main cathedral and see landmarks such as the Academy of Letters. Gunga Beach is located nearby Maceio, too. A catamaran journey can take you here, giving you plenty of time to sunbath and enjoy a leisurely swim in the waters that are lapping up the sands.
Salvador
Discover the vibrant Afro-Brazilian culture that’s deeply rooted in Salvador. During a ‘Panoramic Salvador’ add-on excursion, colonial sights as old as the city itself make themselves apparent as you tour the city in a comfortable coach. From visiting a 17th Century lighthouse to browsing the stalls of Mercado Modelo, there’s so much to see and do when exploring. The intricately detailed Bonfim Church also makes an appearance, a holy pilgrimage site which glitters in rich golds and silvers.
Take one more day to cruise along the Coast of Brazil. This time, you could test out the spa and fitness facilities. Splendor is home to Serene Spa & Wellness™, a globally inspired haven of health which treats its visitors to restorative beauty treatments. Whether it’s a whole-body massage or expertly applied manicure you need, you and your body will feel well taken care of while in here. Additionally, you also have the fitness centre – the perfect place to maintain your health goals.
Rio de Janeiro
For the last two days of your cruise, be amazed by the spectacular sights and sounds of Rio de Janeiro. Various add-on excursions will help you appreciate this bustling city even more than it should be, including a tour to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain and visit to Copacabana Beach, with its flurry of activities and incredible views. You may even want to see the Christ the Redeemer statue up close. There’s nothing more iconic than this sculpture in Brazil – a truly ‘I was there’ photo op.
Iguazu Falls
Disembark the Seven Seas Splendor and transfer to RIOgaleao International Airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls, where you experience a two-night post-cruise stay in a luxury hotel. The Iguazu Falls are made up of 275 separate falls, with the most famous being the ‘Devil’s Throat’, its colossal U-shaped formation jumping more than 150 metres in length with a drop of more than 82 metres in height. There’s also a National Park you can explore, a beautiful area teeming with a vast array of wildlife.
Take your private transfer to the airport for your return flight via Sao Paulo back home to the UK.
