We especially recommend the Hot Tub Suite which features incredible views over Lake Windermere as well as its very own hot tub – perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the hills.

Situated in the heart of the Lake District, this hotel offers fantastic access to hiking routes in the surrounding peaks, as well as more relaxed jaunts exploring the picturesque ‘chocolate box’ villages that surround Lake Windermere.

After a day outside, return to this hideaway where you can dine at one of two Italian inspired dining spots or slink back to your room for an in-room massage, or warm yourself in a private hot tub.

A total of 36 rooms and suites, many of which overlook Lake Windermere and the surrounding hills. Each of these individually styled rooms are outfitted in luxurious fabrics and patterned textiles paired with cooling hues of cream and stone, to give calming and modern feeling spaces.

Spacious 312 sq ft room overlooking Lake Windermere and the surrounding Lake District hills. Each room features an en suite bathroom and a choice of a king-sized bed, two double beds or two twin beds. Sleeps: 2 adults

Deluxe Room

Junior Suite

Grand 570 sq ft suite featuring a king-sized bedroom with en suite bathroom, located in a secluded woodland area on the grounds of the hotel. Sleeps: 2 adults

Hot Tub Suite

The most popular room available, in addition to a king-sized bedroom and an en suite bathroom with underfloor heating, this suite features a private heated hot tub and enclosed veranda overlooking Lake Windermere and the Coniston fells. Sleeps: 2 adults

Loft Suite

Located on the top floor of the hotel, this suite offers a large open plan lounge area with a sleeper couch as well as a telescope for stargazing. Features a king-sized bathroom and an impressive en suite bathroom with a free-standing feature bath. Sleeps: 2 adults

Lake Suite

Set across 678 sq ft, hidden amongst the trees on the hotel grounds, housed within a standalone cottage, this suite offers spectacular views of Linthwaite House and Lake Windermere. Activities & Entertainment

In prime position on the hills surrounding Lake Windermere, this hotel offers great access to everything that makes this region so special. The Lake District, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is littered with spectacular scenery, lakes, fells and forests that can be explored by foot via footpaths that snake throughout the land. There is also a wealth of cultural and historical highlights to be explored, including historical houses, gardens and museums.

If you’re not out exploring the local hiking routes, and Lake District landmarks, sunny days at the hotel can be spent enjoying croquet or outdoor chess on the front lawn or even playing Pétanque pitch playing boules.
