Hotel information
Wander down a peaceful, unassuming street in Palma’s Old Town, and you’ll stumble upon this gem of a hotel – the Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden.
Grand it most certainly is, as the Can Bordoy has breathed life into a gorgeous 16th-century building and transformed it into an exquisite boutique hotel, with a winning combination of heritage, contemporary style and indulgent features throughout.
Step inside and find yourself cosseted in reclaimed 16th-century spaces, from the light-filled lobby to corridors bedecked with parquet floors; the characterful library adorned with antique pieces to your very own stylish suite.
In total, there are 24 charming suites at the Can Bordoy, each individually designed with mid-century and art deco features plus 21st-century treats, such as king-size beds (with adjustable firmness), freestanding tubs and TVs integrated into the mirrors. Best of all, every guest can enjoy butler service here, so arranging a massage, day trip or dinner reservation can all be taken out of your hands.
When it comes to dining at Can Bordoy, you’ll want for nothing thanks to the hotel’s organic eatery, Botanic, where wholesome and healthy fare is served either out on the terrace or within one of the elegant indoor spaces. There’s an all-day breakfast menu, Sunday brunch, excellent wine menu and lots of local dishes, plus plenty of gluten-free options and moreish smoothies too. Otherwise, if you want to eat out in Palma, there are so many fantastic restaurants right on your doorstep in the old quarter, La Lonja.
The Can Bordoy story continues outside with its magical secret garden, starring a heated outdoor pool, whirlpool tub, and sun loungers laid out beneath the canopy of fruit trees, all hidden behind the garden walls. Meanwhile, upstairs you can access the building’s rooftop terrace which boasts a plunge pool and more sun loungers, affording captivating views across Palma.
If you’re feeling as though you could unwind a little more, then be sure to experience the candlelit spa for restorative Swiss Perfection treatments; it won’t take long to see that the folks at Can Bordoy have thought of everything!
Room Options
Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden is home to 24 attractive suites, each offering butler service to make your stay all the more luxurious. They are beautifully styled with individual layouts and features, all evoking a chic look thanks to designer furnishings and tasteful colour palettes. Some flaunt inviting freestanding tubs, others rain showers. Some come with TVs integrated in the mirrors, plush drapes enveloping the bed, or even a Japanese W/C. However, all of the Can Bordoy suites are equipped with king-size beds that can be adjusted for firmness, as well as tea making facilities and speakers.
Junior Suite
Measuring 35sq m and above, the Junior Suite is drenched in natural light and golden fabrics, with a flat-screen TV, seating area and views of the interior courtyard or Palma’s old quarter. The Junior Suite also comes with a king-size bed, en suite bathroom with rain shower, minibar, tea making facilities and speakers.Deluxe Suite
This larger suite sprawls over a 46sq m floorplan, incorporating a living area, marble bathroom and freestanding bathtub, as well as views to the garden or old quarter. The wooden floors and shades of blue lend a sophisticated feel to the Deluxe Suite.Premium Suite
This sumptuous, 55sq m suite is a stunning abode, with an impressive velvet curtain, king-size bed and plush textiles. You’ll be treated to a freestanding tub, seating area, and exquisite room features including a glittering chandelier and gilded mirrors.Grand Suite
The largest room of all at 80sq m, the Grand Suite is without doubt the cream of the crop. Expect views of the garden, a mirror with a huge integrated TV, a seating area, spacious en suite bathroom with freestanding tub and a colour palette of blue and violet throughout.Facilities/Amenities
This central Palma hotel is wonderfully well-equipped, making it all the more tempting to stay in and enjoy a spot of pampering. One of the best ways to do so is at the Can Bordoy Spa, complete with a sauna, steam room and plunge pool, as well as rejuvenating Swiss Perfection treatments. Then there’s the heavenly secret garden, a walled paradise featuring a heated pool, Jacuzzi tub and sun terrace, hidden away from the world thanks to its protective old walls and leafy foliage. Plus, as if that weren’t enough, the hotel also flaunts a rooftop terrace with plunge pool and arresting views of Palma’s old quarter.
Restaurants & Bars
Botanic
The hotel restaurant, Botanic, is a charming eatery serving up a mix of local fare and healthy dining options, which can be tucked into up at the bar, on the terrace, or in the elegant library. One of the best – and most fun things about Botanic is that you can order breakfast at any time of day – that means banana pancakes at 4pm if you feel like it! You can also choose from a tempting breakfast menu of smoothies, porridge, eggs and healthy bowls; or take your pick from the bistro menu which incorporates cheese and charcuterie boards – perfectly paired with a glass of cava.

Activities & Entertainment
During your stay at Can Bordoy, your private butler will arrange day tours and activities to suit you perfectly.
There is golf nearby, sailing over the Mediterranean Sea, shopping trips, private guided tours, and plenty more besides. Plus, when you’re ready to hit the beach, take advantage of the hotel’s partnership with UM Beach House Portals to receive discounts on sunbeds, restaurant cuisine, and transfers if you need them.
Gourmet Experiences
Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden prides itself on creating dining experiences that rejoice in the simple pleasure of eating healthy, natural produce. Enjoy the hotel’s all-day breakfast by tucking into a nutritionally dense energy bowl or a fresh smoothie.
Can Bordoy is also home to the visionary BOTÀNIC restaurant, which features an upscale, plant-focused menu of dishes like crunchy cauliflower tabbouleh and creamy beetroot pavlova. Round off your evening meal with a unique Japanese whiskey blend at the hotel’s stylish, low-lit bar.
While in Palma, be sure to take a tour of the nearby winery in Banyalbufar, or visit the historic village of Valldemossa, where you can sample some traditional Majorcan sweets while taking in exceptional views of the Sa Foradada rock formation.
