Full accommodation information

It sits right on the cusp of Marinella Bay in the north of the island, on the Costa Smeralda and just ten minutes from the buzzing harbour town of Porto Rotondo.

Conveniently, the hotel is also an easy 15-minute drive from the international airport, so you can spend more time luxuriating at this blissful beachfront haven and less time travelling once here.

Abi d’Oru Beach Hotel & Spa is Mediterranean-chic from top to toe, encompassing flower-filled gardens, tiled rooftops and cream archways that feel entirely at home in this beautiful part of Italy. The guestrooms are then tastefully dressed in light hues, with flashes here and there mirroring the sea just outside and thoughtful mod-cons to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The fact that each comes with a balcony or patio is an added benefit, plus there are family rooms for anyone travelling with the brood.

Elsewhere, you’ll find a host of bars and restaurants, many enjoying an open-air setting to make the most of the balmy Mediterranean climate. There’s a mix of a la carte and buffet options here, with menus focusing predominantly on Sardinian, Italian and Mediterranean favourites which are sure to please every palate. What’s more, if you’re relaxing on the pool terrace or a sun lounger by the beach, you can order drinks from the attentive staff who’ll promptly bring your refreshments of choice with effortless charm; no effort required.

Beyond enjoying some downtime, at Abi d’Oru Beach Hotel & Spa guests can get the adrenaline pumping by trying watersports like sailing or diving, stay on tierra firma with a game of tennis or volleyball, or head further out for golf, biking and day trips across Sardinia. There’s also a great kids club, and decadent spa complete with a hot tub, sauna and steam room too, meaning that your Abi d’Oru stay can be as active or relaxing as you decide to make it – the best of both worlds.

The Abi Spa is worth taking time to experience, particularly with its hammam, sauna, ice waterfall, al fresco Jacuzzi and relaxation room, whose walls are clad with Himalayan salt. There’s also a large swimming pool and terrace, the kids club, tennis courts, a football pitch, and many watersports centres located close to the hotel at Marinella Bay.

Marinella Bay serves as the playground for lucky guests of Abi d’Oru, splayed on the edge of the hotel’s estate in a beautiful display of fine sand lapped by turquoise sea. There are sun loungers shaded by cream parasols on private corner of the beach, so whiling away the hours here is likely to be the order of the day, most days! However, you’ve also got many watersports centres nearby that cater to the adventurous, offering sailing, canoeing, diving and more. In addition, Abi D’Oru is home to the wonderful Bee Happy Kids Club, where younger guests can play games together and pick up new hobbies like art or sport. Meanwhile, adults can get active with tennis, golf, football, volleyball, biking and horseback riding, not to mention day trips to archaeological sites or cultural events on the island; the fun keeps coming
