Hotel information
Perched 1,000 ft above the sparkling Mediterranean sea, among the cobbled streets and exotic terraced gardens of medieval Ravello and overlooking the breathtaking Amalfi Coast, the elegant 5-star Palazzo Avino is an exclusive invitation into an elegant and romantic world where luxury is a byword.
Originally a 12th-century private villa of an Italian noble family, the property opened as a hotel in 1997. The family-run resort now boasts an array of luxury facilities, including one-star Michelin dining with locally-sourced ingredients, a 20-metre heated pool, and a spa with products that are made from local fruits, exclusive to Palazzo Avino. Revel in the use of the hotel's beach club, Clubhouse by the Sea, located in the small town of Marmorata, just a 15 minute drive from Ravello. Hotel guests enjoy complimentary access to the beach platforms, pool, changing rooms, relaxing living rooms and the casual Clubhouse restaurant. Back at the hotel, choose between sipping cocktails on one of the panoramic terraces or relaxing in one of the rooftop Jacuzzis.
One of the most enticing aspects of Palazzo Avino is the staff to guest ratio of 2 employees per room, ensuring you are exceptionally well looked after during your stay.
With only 33 rooms and 10 suites in total, you can rest assured you’ll be residing in complete exclusivity. Each of the rooms and suites are beautifully decorated in their own unique style, boasting a collection of stunning 19th-century furniture. The hotel recently launched the new 'Capsule Collection', seven rooms designed by Cristina Celestino, former author of The Pink Closet. The collection is the epitome of luxury with décor inspired by the wonders of Ravello's Italian gardens and the odyssey of the forgotten stories of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Facilities/Amenities
The spa facilities at the resort are as exceptional as the dining options. After taking advantage of the hydro pool, sauna, Turkish steam bath, massage and treatment cabins, and the exclusive, locally-made products, you’ll soon be feeling revived.
The fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea from the gym will certainly inspire you to run that little bit faster, while the 20-metre outdoor heated swimming pool in the gardens also enjoys unforgettable views of the sea and mountains. With its two whirlpools, the rooftop solarium is the perfect spot to watch the sun go down with a glass of Prosecco.
Guests are also treated to the hotel’s Clubhouse by the Sea, which is located just a 15-minute drive from Ravello in the small town of Marmorata.
Celebrations & Big Birthdays
If you’re planning a special occasion, big birthday or simply fancy something a little different, you’re in for a treat at Palazzo Avino. Milestone occasions deserve incredible experiences, and the Chef’s Table at Rossellini’s offers some of the most exclusive dining on the Amalfi Coast. For post-dinner wine and cheese, indulge at the Sommelier’s Table housed in a unique cellar cave or head over to the Lobster & Martini Bar. Choose from 100 different Martinis uniquely crafted by the in-house mixologist and soak up the awe-inspiring Mediterranean Sea views.
