With a remote location on Iceland’s Troll Peninsula, Deplar Farm is the ultimate way to experience a wild landscape in pure comfort.

With the famed Golden Circle on its doorstep, this stylishly converted sheep farm offers a gateway to the incredible sights of northern Iceland. Blessed with dark skies unfettered by artificial light, you’ll also be perfectly placed for spotting the Northern Lights dancing in the night during winter – you can even watch them from the warm waters of the geothermal pool for an unforgettable experience.

Whether you visit in summer or winter, there’re plenty of activities arranged by the hotel. In the fairer months, you can enjoy surfing, kayaking, fishing and rafting across the colourful landscape.

When the seasons are colder and icier, activities such as heli-skiing, snowmobiling and dog sledding become available, too. Depending on the time of year, you can also take tours of Puffin Island, the hot springs and Siglufjörður, to name a few.

With plush, homely interiors, excellent farm-to-fork dining and indulgent spa facilities, there are few finer ways to experience the adventures offered by Iceland. Tall, floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the property ensure you can always appreciate a true sense of place, whether relaxing in the library or sipping a drink by the fire in the lounge.

And, with a highly personalised service from the staff, you can be guaranteed to get the absolute best from your time spent here.

Deplar Farm features 13 en suite bedrooms, each individually decorated with warm sheepskin, Moroccan wool and textured walls. Plush bedding makes for the perfect place for a good night’s sleep after a day exploring. Cozy and with a sense of understated luxury, you’ll feel an incredible contrast between the rugged landscape outside, and the warm haven inside. All rooms featured come with a mini-bar and television.
