Built in the 13^th Century and named after Empress Elisabeth (Sisi) for being a generous patron of the construction process, the hotel holds a rich history that can be felt all throughout its grand interior. And, with it being set overlooking the sea, you’re in the right place to create incredible memories.

There are six room/suite categories with spectacular views of the sea. Whether you wish to opt for the bright, open spaces of the Deluxe Suite or enjoy an extraordinary experience in the Presidential Penthouse Suite with its lavish amenities, you have plenty of choices for where you want to stay.

Hvar Island is home to endless possibilities when it comes to thrilling activities.

For one, you can set out to explore the picturesque Green and Blue caves. Swimming inside the former treats you to an emerald light show, unlike anything you’ve ever seen. The latter, however, has an ethereal silvery blue colour created by the sun as it bathes inside through a roof opening. There are more natural phenomena to discover, too – including a hidden inlet named Stiniva.

On land, why not hike along the old shepherd’s paths and rugged tracks? The island is great for walking adventures, immersing you in its beautiful lavender, sage and rosemary-covered landscapes. A number of ancient villages are located across the island as well. Malo Grablje, founded in the 16th Century and abandoned many decades ago, is one such you can visit during your exploration.

Palace Elisabeth Hotel aims to provide its guests with an enriching and authentic experience. Therefore, it encourages the practice of responsible travel. In doing so, the hotel has joined UNESCO's Sustainable Travel Pledge programme for sustainable tourism to promote sustainability.

Included in its approach are five initiatives. Number one is to support the local community by using locally sourced products. Number two is to conserve energy by using as little power as possible and utilising solar power systems. Number three is to separate waste with its smart system for recycling. Number four is to waste less paper by going digital, from the self-check-in to a digital concierge service. Number five is to minimise single-use plastics – using natural materials that are recyclable.
