Hotel information
Sitting pretty on the tiny island of Bequia, The Liming is a refreshingly grown-up resort that opts for a luxury home-from-home feel throughout its standalone suite, the villas, five-bedroom Gingerlily Mansion House and around the grounds too.
There are only a few onsite facilities here, such as an ocean-facing infinity pool, open-air cocktail lounge and overwater restaurant, as the golden sandy beaches that surround The Liming, Bequia its well-equipped guestrooms and the fine food on offer are actually all you need.
Design-wise, The Liming, Bequia enjoys a contemporary take on beach-chic stylings. Think edgy artworks, furnishings and throws in cream, sky blue and light greens, rattan chairs on the beach and thick restaurant tables made from reclaimed wood. It’s a great look that’s not over the top on design yet leaves you under no illusion that this is a top St Vincent and Grenadines resort, with undoubted five-star credentials.
One of the real highlights when staying at The Liming, Bequia, are indeed those standalone guestrooms, an enticing mix that includes a suite, one and two-bedroom villas, and the magnificent Gingerlily Mansion House (a luxury home of five en suite bedrooms with a swimming pool and plunge pool no less).
In fact, every room comes with either a private infinity pool or Jacuzzi, a furnished terrace and sea views, lounge areas, a double walk-in rain shower and if booking the Mansion, a plunge pool, kitchen, dining room and separate lounge areas too. They are also just as beautifully designed inside as the rest of the hotel, and make for a truly romantic spot if ordering an in-room meal from The Liming’s kitchen, though their overwater restaurant terrace and stylish cocktail bar are equally hard to resist!
There is no spa or gym on-site, but in truth, you don’t really need them as the sandy bays, snorkelling and boat trips, daybeds and beach service, gourmet Caribbean cuisine and the privacy of your private-pool villa are what makes The Liming, Bequia so special.
